Central Highlands Lodge/Miena Hotel reviews
39It was amazing, service was great and the food was excellent and plenty of it. Thanks guys at Central Highlands Lodge
The central highlands lodge is a must stay!
Had the best steak of my life at the lodge.
If you’re looking for a cosy, comfortable stay with a very content belly lock in the Central Highlands lodge!
We had a top meal, the steak that I ordered was cooked as I asked (Rare) & one of the best I've had for quite a while. All meals great. Staff were so good, we had an older person in a wheelchair, the girl doing bar service was so helpful.
Great staff and service very welcoming
New renovations look great
Food and accommodation where first class as well
Great to meet you Michale and Helen
Your doing a great job
This establishment should have a warning about how awesome the staff, service, food and how much food is on offer. The plate was full to the brim and exquisite. Thank you to all the staff involved. It was a beautiful day with heaps of snow to boot. Cheers.
Rick and Sue.
Stopped off after driven 200km for a break and was famished. No body except us in the place. Asked for two Beef Burgers but was told She could make them with chicken. So I agreed because I was hungry. We paid our bill of $36 for two chicken bergers.
When the Burgers arrived, We got two burgers with half a chicken schnitzel in each burger it looked good but it tasted horrible with no salt and pepper or mayonnaise or any sauce. I had to ask for the tomato sauce. We were hungry so we ate it. I glad I'm never going there ever waste time and money.
Nice place to stay for a getaway.amazing food with a good view. Spa cabin was amazing and super clean.really enjoyed our stay at Central Highlands Lodge
A convenient spot to stop on our way through from Hobart to Queenstown. Lovely hot, home cooked style meal. It even started snowing while we were there!
Great publicans, beautiful accommodation, all staff were very helpful. Food was excellent. The locals were very welcoming. Highly Recommend.
Great place for a meal if staying in the region or just passing through. The pub has recently been renovated. Great food, reasonably priced and fantastic staff.
I’ve been staying at The Central Highlands Lodge on and off for the last 30 years since the early nineties. It’s been wonderful watching the upgrades and transformation of both the accomodation and the restaurant/ bar area. It’s a credit to the current owners Helen and Michael for all they have accomplished in their tenure over the last 7 years or so. The accomodation is comfortable and clean, the Bar / Restaurant has awesome views over Great Lake, tasty and hearty meals and fireplace that is roaring most days of the year. I look forward to my annual fly fishing trips here and catching up with Michael and Helen - such great hosts. I couldn’t recommend CHL highly enough. Keep up the great work
Want a great meal and service.go here
Fantastic food, my partner is so fussy with his steak and said this was best steak had in a long time (scotch fillet) cooked to perfection
Good size portions
Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Great amenities too
Will return
Great value meals, we were all happy with our meals, generous size and lovely fresh vegetables with my chicken parmigiana.
Clean tidy surroundings.
Parma is actually proper self made snitzel and very tasty. Beers are cheap and service is great! Definetly a must stop or stay in when passing through
Rude.how about some appreciation for your customers. A little communication and a smile goes a long way. Won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.
A great watering hole and a fantastic meal. The view out of the new atrium extension is nothing short of amazing. Very welcoming and engaging staff. Definitely worth a visit.
Stayed in spa cabin, its really nice the photos on their website dont do it justice however when arrived it was freezing, had to go round and turn on fridge tvs etc as they were all off at the switches. Heater struggled to warm the cabin only saving grace were electric blankets to escape the cold and i doubt the floor has any insulation as its was as cold as the snow outside so had to wear shoes around or your feet got very cold, as a cabin fantastic modern clean, just not practical due to just how cold it was and not being able to heat it very well with the reverse cycle aircond that was there also no additional heating in bedroom only the one in living room.
Stopped in for lunch - had the parmigiana and it was great! Too big for me to finish it. Nice cosy place.
Our room was comfortable and warm despite a thick blanket of frost outside. They are not stingy with the bedding, a big thick quilt kept us toasty & the mattress & pillows were comfortable. The meals were outstanding, the scotch fillet was tender & cooked perfectly. The chicken schnitzel was juicy & had a delicious crunchy batter (best I've ever had). The battered flake was a generous size & was of great quality. The vegetables were fresh & in generous portions; the potato bake being a personal favourite.
Staff were all friendly & welcoming. Thanks again
