Central Highlands Lodge/Miena Hotel reviews
39Very nice spot clean and tidy and great view of Great Lake through front bar windows nice staff and meal had very good.
Had lunch here on a windy day and was very nice meals. Really lives up to that lodge feel and great location. Very good value.
Helen behind the bar made us feel welcome. Had the best steak.
Great value. Fresh food
Great open fire. Biggest jetmaster i have ever seen. 2.0 metres wide
The lodge has great staff and great food. Great locals and a large warm fire. I would rate it 10 out of 10
We stopped in here for a meal, and we were not disappointed.
As soon as we walked in, we were made very welcome by both the staff and the locals.
The meal was sensational, and the atmosphere was very friendly.
Stayed over night en route to Hobart in a double spa unit which was a generous size spotlessly clean and well equipped. Check in is at the Hotel bar which was easy and hassle free. Staff very friendly and helpful we had dinner at the Hotel which was delicious of a great portion and cooked as requested.
Helen and Michael set the bar high in regards to looking after guests. The staff follow their lead and are very helpful and upbeat.
The accommodation and food was great. Newly renovated rooms with all the bells and whistles. A washing machine was a god send after a week on the road.
We had our best meal (rainbow trout) of the trip there.
Finally, we really appreciated up to date advice on the condition of tracks in the area.
It made a big difference to our trip.
Well situated accommodation for discovering the lakes area. We stayed in a cabin which was very comfortable. We ate both nights at the hotel and the meals were well priced and tasty.
Fabulous staff, great room with working spa, comfy bed. Good selection of meals reasonably priced.
Good rooms. Wi-Fi does not reach the farest rooms. If internet is important for you, require a room closer to the reception.
Guys, do not try save on your guests' convenience. Add one more wifi repeater to cover all the rooms.
We arrived after 2pm being delayed by roadworks, when the chef was off duty, but the staff were very helpful and offered a limited menu and the manager promptly did our order herself. Real high country hospitality! The Lodge is totally different to when we last visited in 2016. Congratulations on a fabulous facility and we will be back soon.
Had a meal there with a good friend and could not knock it, I had beef rissoles and a red wine gravy and veggies and my mate had a lamb shank is was huge thought it might have been a roo shank.
Rooms were very clean and spacious. Lady at front desk was very very cold and location wasn't anything special
We made a trip through most of Tasmania and this place was an absolute highlight. I deadset think this was some of the best food I have ever eaten.the rainbow trout made me wish I was brave enough to order a whole cooked fish, but at least I got to try some:). Also, do yourself a favour and get the sticky-date
Rooms were great but the highlight was the location, the great lakes are crazy and we actually got to see snow!
honestly great hotel to stay in, make sure you eat there, so worth it.run by a oldschool publican manager so guaranteed good service.one of the only times I have ever left a tip and I'd drop another $30 there in a heartbeat.
Loved it.
Fantastic accommodation, clean cosy room, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Pub and restaurant was warm, beautiful friendly staff, great food, (steak cooked to perfection).
Sam Ferro followers, dance Group of 20+will definitely stay again.room 10 16/04/22
Rooms were warm, clean, comfortable and quiet.
Different room types available for workers fishermen to families.
Enjoyed meals every night. My favourites were the Scotch fillet and Lamb Rack. Enjoyed the friendly homely atmosphere. Thanks to the hosts, Hellen and Mick.
Note, this is not a fancy hotel, 5 stars for price, service and hospitality.
The meal that my husband and I had was not a very nice meal. It was tasteless, did not eat very much because of this.
Great place to eat, friendly staff, awesome renovations since we've last been there
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Wonderful views and the beer is always cold. Friendly and wonderful service and staff couldn't ask for anything better.
Our cabin was very comfy and very clean. Had a spa bath. The lounge was spacious. It was so good, we stayed another night. The meals were great, plenty and well presented and cooked. I couldn’t eat all my Parma. Helen was accommodating. Thanks for making our stay so lovely Helen. We’ll be back to cabin 11. Gaye and Paul
