Canton Restaurant reviews
32Awesome, had the banquet for 3 we all enjoyed every bite, my daughter especially loved the fried rice
Really great vegetarian/vegan options including very tasty mapo tofu and fried rice - will return next trip!
Worst meal we ate in Tasmania. We ordered 3 dishes that all had the same bland (canned) sauce, filled with micro amounts of meat and overflowing in celery and off tasting tinned baby corn spears. The rice served was over cooked glug. Not authentic at all, and totally over priced. What a disappointment!
Lovely hostess, fantastic personality. Food amazing, great prices. Will definitely be back for more. Thank you so much for such a wonderful lunch.
We were hanging out for a Chinese meal - we usually go elsewhere but they were fully booked - we have previously had good meals at Canton but tonight it was 'just ok' - we had fried dim sims which were dry and a little tasteless, good old sweet and sour pork which was extremely sweet and drenched in sauce and Cantonese sizzling beef which was also extremely sweet. The most disappointing part was that the hostess said the meals were served with seasonal veg - which happened to be heapings of red and green capsicum, not an ounce of bokchoy or any other leafy green. The fried rice was really nice though. On the bright side, the meals were really generous in portion and reasonably priced for an upscale Chinese restaurant. The decor was a bit retro but it was clean and tidy. Hostess was incredibly polite and helpful - top notch on that aspect.
GREAT CHINEESE RESTAURANT, WE HAVE BEEN HERE A FEW TIMES NOW, EXCELLENT SERVICE, GREAT MEALS TO CHOOSE FROM, HOWEVER ON OUR LAST DINNING THERE LAST WEEK, OUR FRIED RICE WAS OVER DONE AND TASTED VERY BURNT, THE REST OF THE MEAL WAS AS GOOD AS EVER
Familiar and comforting Chinese food (for Chinese!). Our 2nd visit in a week and it did not disappoint. Of the other 2 prominent Chinese restaurants here, we felt this to be closest to our Chinese palate. The ma poh bean curd was particularly enjoyable and authentic.
Delicious Chinese food. Ordered a special fried rice and two vegetable dishes. Really enjoyed all of it.
Spicy chicken wings were the highlight of our banquet tonight (you really have to try them). Good value and good service too. Table top was a bit small for the four of us though. Definitely recommend.
Excellent service. Excellent Chinese dishes in Cantonese style. Nice and comfortable environment.
Good food however the fried rice and extra large fried rice are the same amount with different prices
We are craving for good chinese food after few days of visit to Tasmania and this restaurant totally fix our craving! We love the 扒鸭 so much.
We came back the next day and had the business set lunch and it was good too. Would like to come again if we visit Launceston later.
