Botanica Bar Salamanca reviews
52Absolutely appalled with the staff last night and the way they treated us.my friend had her top pulled down by somebody and we ended up being the ones who got taken (the seccy grabbed me and threw me). Then proceeded to accuse me of things i didn’t do.i understand you have a job to do however next time maybe remove the person who is pulling girls tops down.the 1 star is for the good tunes.
We celebrated my wife's birthday. We were 24 people there, and Stella and Brooke were very friendly and helpful. They are pretty good. The meals were incredible. Thank you to chef Max.
Sadly, this venue was too just too loud. Bartenders had difficulty hearing orders & this slowed down service times. Additionally, meaningful conversation between customers was very difficult to achieve. A brief period of respite from the assaultive music levels revealed other customers complaining about sound levels.
We decided not to stay for a meal & left early - after one round of drinks.
Had visited this bar while our stay at Hobart. They kicked us out as we are asians after a while and I want to write this review being in 21st century the owners have to feel ashamed and guilty to treat us like this. My suggestion never visit this place if ur in Hobart. I am not part of any group to be clear and this incident happened on 27/03/2022 around 10-11PM that day. Please check with ur team who is working on that day and I hope u do something about it.
Terrible experience at 'bottomless brunch' today. No signage of a finish time when we booked nor on any menus or signage. Don't get me wrong I don't expect to be there all day but i would have expected at least 2 hours. No mention from staff that the brunch cut off was looming. Went to get a drink to be told I would have to pay. I had just paid $62 for a burger with chips and 2 drinks. Poor lack of transparency from staff. Very disappointing. Friends who didn't want to drink paid $58 for eggs on toast and an orange juice.
Amazing atmosphere and day staff are always so friendly. But why are the bouncers on Friday/Saturday nights so rude and feel the right to make fun of everyone, particularly from different races? It’s actually embarrassing how above they think they are of everyone
Wonderful place, we love have dinner with family and friends there, lovely customer service and very delicious food
Myself and a few friends attended Botanica for their bottomless brunch event to celebrate my hens day. The food was lovely and worth the wait. The staff were absolutely wonderful and extremely accommodating.
I will definitely recommend this venue and event to friends and return myself in future.
Would 10/10 do bottomless brunch again.
Such lovely girls serving us, who obviously love their job.
Didn’t catch their names- but brunette girl who served us was able to cater to our needs and had great sense of humour.
The Parmigiana was unreal. Took a while to get a drink, being busy generally creates that problem. Busy for a reson
Lovely food, I was so full and satisfied, had to wait a little bit but that's very expected with a busy little town
Horrible customer service. Racist staff
Definitely going to complain to higher authorities
Just wanted to say thank you too the bartender Niarh for helping us out today very funny and good customer service and made us laugh
Last night we came out with some business clients to discuss a important matter, we walked in around 7: 30pm and ordered around of drinks and when we were ready to order the food the server at the counter said the kitchen is closed and they would recommend we go somewhere else if we wanted food. Having travelled to many parts of the world and experienced good hospitality and customer care, I can most certainly say that this the worst experience I've had. I mentioned to the server that if the kitchen is closing at 800pm she should have told us in advance so we could have ordered our food, she in turn replies that we should have asked what time the kitchen was closing, and its best that we leave and go somewhere else very rudely and embarrassed my family and guest and asked them to leave. We live in Tasmania where multiculturalism is bested practiced and racism is not tolerated at any time, clearly the two staff members were very racist, rude and arrogant and displayed pure racism towards our guest, my family and me.
Tasmania being a tourist destination we accommodate so many cultures from diverse backgrounds, supporting and welcoming people from all walks of life, clearly the actions of these two servers displayed how hateful and arrogant they were to us which clearly is not the Tasmanian sprit.
I request the management evaluate and investigate the attitudes of these staff members instead of defending them.
We walked into Brick restaurant few doors down and we were immediately welcomed and served very professionally.
As an active member of the community I will most certainly take this up with the department of communities for racism and will also peruse to communicate to the Hobart City Council about our experience make sure corrective action is taken to ensure these types of situations will not be faced by anyone in the future.
I will never recommend this place, disgusting!
Had a birthday where everyone was doing bottomless brunch. I can’t drink alcohol so asked to not to bottomless brunch. I am also coeliac. Was told rudely by staff that they cannot do anything else on the till so I had to pay $58 for a small weird tasting burger and a drink that I could not even finish.
Literally my favourite bar on the planet, I'm here easily 3 times a week, the food is amazing and so much cheaper than all of its neighbours, the staff are incredible and the late Sunday sessions go off
The best value lunch in Hobart, awesome chicken parmigiana, and delicious burger, add $6 for a pint of craft beer, and you are set to go for the rest of the day
Kate was the best, we waited for over 19
Minutes with someone’s else and Kate served us straight away, an asset to the bar
Great place to go on a Saturday afternoon with friends.
Food is delicious and staff are really lovely.
It is a much nicer experience to sit outside, as it can get a little louder inside.
Very friendly staff, very comfortable place, drinks are more on the pricy side. But it's okay to feel a bit fancy sometimes!
Strongly recommended.
