Black River Campsite reviews
33 Really nice quiet campsite (although we stayed in Winter), even had a few visitors through our camp. Quick access to the beach.
Toilets were nice and clean but only have pit toilets. For a paid camp thought there would be rubbish bins but there isn't.
Great place to camp it would be better if they had rubbish bins/removal like some of the free camp sites, wish the sites had more grass to be able to keep kids cleaner.
Could be a nice spot in non-drought period and not directly after peak holiday season. Lots of fine, adhesive, dark dust all over the place. Evidence of extensive use of improvised toilets, insufficiently far from campsites.
Campsite was spacious and quiet. Pity about the copious amount of disgarded toilet paper in the bush and in bbq's though. TAKE YOUR TOILET PAPER WITH YOU!
Was a great camp place shame people dont use toilets provided or be self contained. Some areas smelled of urine
Beach, fire pit, grass, peaceful, lovely camping area. Big areas and smaller areas depending on how many people you camp with!
Nice little camping spot, great for fishing. Would advise supervising children swimming as the tide can become very strong, would not recommend incompetent swimmers getting in. This campsite is not free and does lack amenities of any description. However the place is beautiful and fishing can be good, not the best is Tassie by a long shot.
What a lovely National Park, friendly helpful rangers. A great place to camp away from bad weather and relax with the wildlife. Please take rubbish with you, the wildlife and others will appreciate it.
Loved this place, we didn't have people parking on top of us. Top beaches and river and views of the nut while fishing, swimming or just chilling out. LG areas drop toilets sounds of bird's, and waves.
Just great. Sitting by the fire glass of red camp oven shoulder of lamb and roast vegies. What could be better
Very crowded at present. Not big sites but nice area. Only fit about 12 campers or vans up to 6mts.
Loved it! We went camping out at black river for 4 nights, the campgrounds are maintained by parks and wildlife and we're very clean. Each campsite has its own privacy as they are surrounded by bushland. There were toilet blocks available and they were quite clean. The best thing was there was only a short stroll to black river for a swim and we took the kyacks down for a paddle. There is over 30 sites available and the prices were reasonable. Well worth a camping trip if your looking for somewhere nice to go
Beautiful secluded spot with great view to "The Nut" at Stanley. If you love Birdlife you will love this spot too. Toilets but no showers. Water which may not be suitable for drinking. Ok for washing. There is a fee.
