Black River Campsite reviews
33Great campground! It stretches pretty far out and even on busy weekends the campsites are spaced out far enough to have some privacy. Bring enough water since it can be scarce during peak season or far from your camp spot. Toilets are scattered all around but pretty old compared/basic compared to other PWS camp sites.
Great private little camp areas that are separated from each other. Some grass some sand and others rocky under trees. Walk to river, but theres not much water at low tide. Also walk to beach, which is about 2ks long. Windy most of the time but the camp areas get you out of the wind. Drop dunnys only but that all you need. Great value at $13 per night.
What a glorious spot to camp at. Beautiful views and the toilets were very clean. Highly recommend.
There are a lot of individual camp spots here so it's good, there are long drop toilets available too. Very close to the beach! Saw a cleaner came to put in toilet rolls in the toilet
Great camp.
$13 night or $50 for a week
Lots of sites. Made up of areas, so can be very private.
Drop toilets scattered everywhere.
Good size camp sites toilets nice beach small sand dunes kids had fun sliding down on boogie boards place to launch boats. Good for tents vans RV's. New toilets being built sand is a bit soft in places on beach but not to bad cant walk a long way on the beach
Nice size camp sites fairly well upkeep except peer signage camp sites are unlevel and their is no access to the beach except some overgrown tracks made by visitors so the main attraction has no official access need to step up parks and wild life
The campground was good, close to river abd peacfull place to stay. It gas two clean main toilets in the middle and other toilets between bushes so easy. Camp sites are far from each other so you won’t get bothered. Also protected by trees tgat is good in windy time. Each site has a fire pit. Also you can watch the sunset from here.
Was a lovely campsite with very clean toilet area and fire pits in the areas located for camping
Such a great camping spot. Lots of sites to choose from. The long drop toilets are some some of the best we have ever used. Definitely coming back.
Love camping here as it's got the river for fishing and swimming and a short walk to the the ocean and is close enough to Stanley
Great spot for peace and quiet. Large areas to park in during off season. Don't know how busy it gets during peak times. Toilets are very clean. Would spend a couple of days there again for a quiet and relaxed break.
Has fire pits in most sites but not allowed to have a fire out of a pit.some have two but on one site There is rubbish absolutely everywhere and dog poo. It smelled like dog poo every where as well. Nice open sites some are better than others good for large groups or caravans.no signs for trails or toilets. Could be a amazing camp site if better managed. I would say the price is good if it did not stink so bad. Moved to the other side of the camp ground and it was much better. Toilets were nice and clean.
Great place to camp and relax. The kids have so much fun down here. Could use some public showers though
Lovely site, $6.50 per adult per night and $5 for every adult over 2 people. Clean toilets and maintained camping areas.
Good size camp sites. Feral cats need to be dealt with. We were self contained but more toilets would not go astray (lots of human poop and toilet paper in bushes)
Absolutely diabolical. $18 for nothing, the tiniest beach (when we finally found one) was quick sand.be warned.
Really good camping site areas, I reckon they are 7 separated areas and some are equipped with a fire pit. If you are camping with tent some of them are far from the toilet area, just choose one closer and you’ll be fine! I didn’t give 5 stars only because I found some rubbish around my camping site and wasn’t pleasant to have that in such a nice place.
Nice level spot big vans will fit nice open area easy walk to beach with a great view of the nut
