BIG4 Iluka on Freycinet Holiday Park reviews
72I found management arrogant and showers was cold and hot so had trouble showering. I personally won't go here again.
The lady at the reception was lovely. The cabin itself was clean and tidy. Loved our stay, but its a shameot was too windy so we end ip not going to the beach. Very close to beach and general store. There’s also a good bakery/cafe nearby.
Cabin for 2 was clean but could clearly hear neighbours next door and across the road.was an older cabin with poor insulation, but we enjoyed our stay
We only stayed a night on a powered site but everything was great! Lovely staff and extremely clean facilities! Highly recommend!
Very convenient to the Freycinet National Park. Gorgeous beach in front - perfect for a sunset drink. Great cafe and take away. We picked up a yummy chicken salad sandwich for our hike the next day which was perfect! Cabin has all your basic needs. Clean and reliable.
Small and comfortable cottages. The best part is that the Frecinct national park is very close to the accomodation. And you get to watch the sunset at the beach which is just opposite to the hotel. 3G/4G/5G signals are quite weak at the rooms but they have televisions so not much to complain about. We had a hopsitable stay, thank you.
Great spot to stay in Coles Bay, reasonable fees, amazing new clean and hot showers. Tavern/restaurant, bakery and grocery store right at your footstep. Only improvement we would suggest is a change machine in laundry for people wishing to do laundry before/after reception open/close hrs.
We booked this to see places around Frecinet National Park. This is an economical place, clean and well maintained. The rooms are very small. There was only one heater which took quite some time to warm the rooms.
Stayed 4 nights at this park and we don’t know how this park gets the star rating it has, very hard to maneuver a caravan into as sites are small and steep plus gravel. The site we were on flooded and was for three days until we left we didn’t pay money to walk around in water and stench, this was very unsafe. The amenities had a fowl smell as well. Won’t recommend or stay again needs a lot of work done to it, plus rude man in reception didn’t help.
Water STOPPED in the middle of shower for 30 minutes! It's fine you need to do maintenance work but THANKS for not telling anyone! At least put a notification on the bathroom door? !
We could not get into the campground at Tas Parks so stayed here, not too far away from the Freycinet walks and also close to shops cafes and the tavern. A bit of a sprawling setup, good camp kitchens and amenities. Gravel roads in the park. Our only issue was noisy patrons coming in late, leaving early (before first light) and sliding doors of campervans during the night. Obviously nothing to do with park management. And the mosquitoes up here are ruthless - bring your zappers and repellant?
Left NRMA Port Arthur Holiday Park and went through Coles Bay and few hundereds kms to BIG4 Iluka. Saw the majestic Mt Amos on our way here. This holiday park is splendid and has everything we need. Love it
I found this campsite was fine and has all the essentials, but it wasn't where it could or should be for a destination like Freycinet. It's very tired and one set of toilets and showers were quite stinky, however there was a newer toilet block which was much better.
Late check in possible per phone, good BBQ stations in the camping area, good and nearly clean facilities
The cabin we are in is clean but old and shabby with a strange smell. Expensive for what it is. Not comfortable for watching TV at all.
Great campsite near to the lovely beaches - a fabulous walk along the beautiful Muir Beach gives you a good appetite for dinner - a bracing walk - look out for the pied oystercatchers. Check in at the campsite is easy and friendly - the staff are very helpful and they have a good sense of humour. The amenities are spotless and there is plenty of hot water in the showers - with none of the $1 per shower nonsense practised on other campsites - other campsites please take note: we can be trusted to have a 3 minute shower without the need for you to profiteer! Pitches are spacious with power and water provision. A fantastic place to stay - would definitely recommend it
Stayed here for 2 night. Rooms were ok, bed sheets were dirty and old. The smell from the public sewer was horrible, there was definitely a leak near our cabin and boy it smelt bad. Front light (porch) near front door was busted so had to use mobile phone light. Laundry room has a bad smell also. Nice location though.
What a wonderful gem of a place this is! The cabins are best described as the Taj Mahal of cabins - huge & comfortable with your own deck & right amount of privacy.
A short walk across the road to access the beach - perfect location. Do not hesitate & book your holiday stay now!
Nice view of the ocean, the toilet block down the bottom which I used was nice. Only 2 showers there though. Kitchen is not closed off and is minimal however it looked like they were building an extension and it was good enough. Spacious lots for your campervan
Too good. Super friendly staff, family environment, safe and very organized. I will surely visit again. Thanks.
