Auldington Hotel reviews
61 My wife and I just based ourselves for eleven nights at the Auldington, and it was perfect. Our room was large, and the bathroom was the biggest I've ever seen in a hotel. Located within a 5 -10 minute stroll to just about everywhere in Launceston, the Auldington is tucked away on Fredrick Street so successfully that even many locals can't place it. Not that it's difficult to find mind you, its just beautifully situated.
James was great, as were the other staff we interacted with. My wife is living with MS, and has spent the last twelve months battling breast cancer, so we needed a bit of peace and quiet without the isolation of staying further out of town.we found what we were looking for, and more, at the Auldington. James arranged a few extras for our room, a toaster and a microwave; and when it looked like rain, he even provided us with a large umbrella to use for the length of our stay.
We will stay at the Auldington again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for the kind of service that in today's ever-quickening pace has become all to rare.
Such a beautiful environment. Staff could not be more helpful, and had fantastic local knowledge. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend
We spent five nights here and were not disappointed. The room was great having everything we needed for our stay. The owner onsite and receptionist were super friendly and helpful and assisted with suggestions about the local attractions and dining options.
Very reasonably priced accommodation with clean facilities and located within walking distance to wherever you may want to be when in Launcheston.
Great location, reasonable prices, and great rooms. Super comfortable beds and great water pressure. The facilities feel very secure and the area is very quiet. Staff are also very accommodating. Will go back.
We made a last minute booking and thankfully there was a room available. Our king room was ample and spacious, the bed and furnishings were very comfortable, the receptionist was the most friendly and helpful guy ever! The building is lovely and full of nice art, the view from the front is wonderful and a great location. Will definitely stay again!
Easy and quick check in and check out, staff were all lovely. Great place to stay if you want somewhere in the CBD area and central, but also want to avoid the noise and ruckus of a loud CBD hotel. Still central, and the staff make an effort to keep noise to a minimum. Our room was very clean, and they have a nice deck area with tables and a comfortable sitting room and beautiful garden.
Great hotel with sparkling clean rooms and thoughtful touches. We stayed in a room with the spa which was an absolute treat after completing the overland track!
Took us in at a moment's notice at 10pm for a fantastic room at a great price. Could not have been nicer, like literally could not have been any nicer. Even if they got a really nice tapestry or something you would definitely think "wow that's a wonderful tapestry, but it hasn't actually improved this place, because it was so good to start with".
I cannot say enough good things about this amazing accommodation. The manager took the time to explain the sights of Launceston personally, how amazing. The staff, especially Stephanie, were exceptional. My room, perfect. Don’t miss this place when you stay in Launceston.
Lovely old house converted into a hotel. Giant rooms with high ceilings and stunning views across launceston more than made up for the slightly abrupt staff.
Highly recommended for business travel as our room included a nice work table.
Hotel was nice. Looked like an old mansion re-purposed into a hotel. Common Room with books, couches and balcony that overlooks the city. Friendly service. Confident location in the heart of Launceston
A real delight. Excellent service. Very comfortable room. Well appointed bathroom. Close to town. Affordable
I always try to book there when I stay in Launceston. It's a beautiful boutique hotel with very comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Book a room with a bath if you can and relax. The service is really good too. The mini fridge was a bit noisy, but it's pretty much the case in every hotel. It's usually cheaper to book directly from their Website.
This renovated former convent has a certain charm. Location has nice views on one side. Modern bathroom but shower could have better pressure and hotter water.
Amazing old building, with great views of the city, within walking distance of the night life. The proprietors onsite are very friendly and more than willing to give you advise about the local attractions and dining options (they also have vouchers). The rooms have amazing high ceilings, reverse cycle AC and baths (including shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, etc). Movies can be rented on the tv.
Awesome service and thanks so much for the free upgrade. Only wished we booked our entire stay here.
Stayed at the Auldington in January with my family. Found the Hotel staff friendly and helpful providing excellent service and the room was well appointed, its in a great location for walking around Launceston.
Insensitive to customers. Charged 11 dollar for a hanging paper and 20 dollars for two missing spoons. It’s lot better to stay at some Airbnb Place. These hotels are not worth the money they charge.
Wonderful historic building in a central location, plenty of parking space, large well equipped room with good views and a comfortable bed, helpful owner and staff. Phone and WiFi systems a bit cranky.
