Staff were excellent and very welcoming, with lots of local knowledge. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and would highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Rooms were dirty and unkept, sheets had stains on them and had been used prior to our stay. The bath and bathroom had someone's hair over it and the main lift was not safe.

Wonderful stay at this beautiful Hotel. Warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and very happy with the room which included Netflix, minibar, lovely bath and very comfy bed. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Very disappointed, will not recommend anyone to stay there. The hotel manager was rude, please don’t waste your money staying there.

Terrible customer service, angry and rude hotel owner. I booked a room and restrictions hit 2 days after - hotel declined refund. All other hotels (even with nonrefundable bookings) always refunded due to Covid. Although I booked non-refundable room (did not realise), did not expect that hotel will be so uncooperative. Hotel owner was very rude on the phone. If you are trying to book something with even slightest chance of plan change, I would recommend to book with other hotels that take 'force majore' cases such as Covid into consideration.

Beautiful place to stay. The reception staff (Mr J Marshall) was very welcoming and helpful, as were the other staff. I recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay, and, is a short walk to the CBD of Launceston. Great views over the city from our room and balcony.

We absolutely love the Auldington, would highly recommend staying here. James and the staff are all so friendly, decent, helpful and professional. What a gorgeous old building with a warm, comfortable and welcome feeling to it. The rooms are clean and spacious. Great location to top it off, such a handy location. This was a nice place to stay after hiking the Overland Track. James was really helpful and accommodated our special requirements. The room was really comfortable.

I loved the great big room with views through the tall sash windows and framed by the wrought iron ballistrade. A great verandah to have tea on. I hung out til 10 am check out time just for the pleasure of it.

Perfect location for hearty walks up the fabulous gorge and to the city.

No breaky but bowls and plates provided and great coffee to be had from the corner cafe.

Besides, where else would you want to stay than a retired nunnery?

Our stay is absolutely enjoyable (I'm writing this from the hotel room). Nice, clean, and spacious room, netflix and nbn provided, great location and James, the owner, is really friendly and helpful. There's also a common sitting room that makes it feel more homey. Totally recommended!

I won't say Wow.but it's good. You will get best service. I am happy with customer service. Price is reasonable and it is in prime location of Launceston City. Highly recommended.

This hotel ticked all the boxes for us. Super clean, quiet and roomy with quality finishes, high ceilings and olde worlde charm. Awesome city views and short walk to city centre and Cataract Gorge. James, Carlton and a lovely young lady whose name we missed, were super helpful, informative and accommodating. So refreshing to be in a gorgeous space with engaged and enthusiastic staff.

Room was lovely, bed was sublime service was personal professional and thoughtful I will stay here as often as possible

James the proprietor could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The rooms and en suite were fully equipped and the bubbly bath was just what my poorly back needed.

My partner, 2 year old son and I had a great experience at the Auldington. Our room was spacious, had a great bathroom (big bath!) And a smart TV that was connected to the internet. Definitely recommend. James was very helpful.
