Annapurna Salamanca Restaurant reviews
57Pakoras were burnt and inedible. Curry was so hot I could barely get through it even though I opted for medium spice. There were som complimentary papadums thrown in, which was a nice touch… but they were stale.
Food was undercooked and the customer service can be better. Seems like they don’t have any passion and patience in making food.
The waiter with the manbun made my night! He was so genuine and you could tell he really cared about his job, even stopping to say goodnight to tables on his way out. He deserves a raise! The food was delicious as always too
Tasty food and excellent customer service by staff specially by the guy with the turban he always greets with his joyful smile and made sure we have everything we needed.kudos!
Delicious food, we ordered goat curry with naans, chicken briyani and a couple of drinks everything was perfect. Staff and service was great too, specially Bhumi. A must visit
I order the chicken biryani and it was sooo bad, it was sour and the chef I think he never had Biryani before, the chicken in the Biryani was smelling, the rice was shocked in masala only. Very disappointed never going to order from there anymore.
Had been there for dinner yesterday. Quite impressed with the staff and service. Food was so delicious. Felt so comfortable in the environment
Did bought goat curry takeaway*2. Food was not delicious at all. I believe there was nothing good with goat curry. Money spent was worthlesss…
We went on a Sunday night, early and received fantastic service. My kids are fussy eaters and all three of them had seconds! Thank you so much for the delicious food and friendly atmosphere.
Recommend, Food was really tasty. Anmol gave us a really good customer service. He deserves to be the employee of the month.
The Australian guy who was serving for us was fantastic. 5 star for the service. However, quite disappointed with the food. Few of the curries were not even cooked properly and taste was bad. 3 star for the food. This was my 2nd visit and walked out with disappointment again. Never gonna think of this restaurant.
The banquets are fantastic variety, filling aaaaand reeeeally good value for money too. Highly recommend
Annapurna is a below average restaurant. The food is not great. The butter chicken is so sweet you may think you have ordered dessert not a main. The goat biryani has more bone than meat. The food doesn’t taste fresh and probably has been spinning in the microwave before hitting your plate.
But it is the only Indian restaurant in Salamanca and conveniently located, so I have dined there a few times even though the food and service have been sub standard.
Today when I arrived, while the rest of Salamanca was bustling, this restaurant was empty (after all it is a sub standard restaurant). I asked to be seated. The waiter, a tall unshaven male, asked me to sit in the farthest corner of the restaurant directly in front of a pillar. This is probably restaurant seating policy.
Substandard food and bad service!
Went here last Night and ordered a chicken vindaloo (extra hot) when I got it there was no heat or spice to it. I have eaten hotter Kormas.when I complained I was told that "some people don't like it hot? Never again
Very poor.
Very good vegetable biryani and stuffed kulcha. Of course good service. Had nice time with family.
Always a great place to eat. Much quieter around 5-530. Attentive staff always willing to assist
I have a really bad indian food experience. Cant find any indian flavour the butter chicken and saag paneer i order last night was the worse i ever had in my life no hard feelings but have to work out your food recipe but the customer service and environment was really appreciated. Thanks and i am not gonna visit salamanca annapurna again.
Nice ambiance. Amazing customer service. We ordered Nan bread and butter chicken.
I’m slightly disappointed with the butter chicken, as it was too sweet. Flavour was actually good, but that sweetness didn’t let me enjoy the real flavour. I’m not sure if that was by mistake or if you serve it like that only. Will check out next time.
But lovely ambiance and very good customer service. Manager was very helpful.
Really tasty and authentic Indian food. Service is good and all staff have a smile on their face and are helpful. Pricing is reasonable and they have a really good variety of Indian dishes. Don't forget to check out the banquet deals at the end of the menu.
The staff were really friendly and this review is in no way a reflection of the staff service.
The currys here were a complete joke. I can't be sure but I suspect the meat in our currys had just been microwaved and dumped in sauce after we ordered. The sauces were very watery, bland and sweet. It is as if they had watered down the sauce and then added sugar to make up for the dilution. These were the worst tasting currys I've ever had in my life. There is no doubt in my mind that a jar of curry sauce from Coles would of been a considerable improvement (this is not an exaggeration).
I will add that this was not just one bad curry. We ordered four. I tried them all and they were all terrible.
You get 2 stars because the naan was good and the staff were friendly.
