Annapurna Salamanca Restaurant reviews
57The malai kofta and Garlic Naan was superb.reasonable in cost and good quantity. Very kind people. However the vegetable Biriyani was a disappointment. It was oily and not made using long grain rice. The authentic flavour of Biriyani was missing.
Very basic food. And some curries were not cooked properly. If you love spicy and tasty food I will never recommend you this place.
First time dined in with my family after a take away few days ago. The goat biriyani was good so I took my family for a dine in, but the service was horrible; the waitress did not smile, she could probably having a bad time but please do not show on your customers. We asked for take away containers including smaller ones to take away raita but the waitress told us they have none. I asked her how do you pack the raita for take away clients then? She stared at me and replied ‘I will check! ’ and went away. I waited for some time then walked to the counter to make the payment. The lady boss took the money and handed over smaller containers and snapped me a ‘bye’. So rude, I have never been treated so badly. I was so kind to them and did not express my dissatisfaction then thought I must write a review.
Customer service was awesome food quality was so good prices are reasonable. Love it highly recommend to visit if you coming to Hobart.
I relished Malayi kofta and garlic naans!
Amazingly delicious food. Nice ambiance and facilities
Bit disappointed with the menu
With the name of the restaurant I thought I could have idly or dosa
But no South Indian food available.
I had tali which is great
Beef vindaloo sauce was ok but very mild. Almost zero heat. Beef was quite dry and flavourless. Butter chicken sauce was very sweet and not pleasant. Rice was ok. I understand everyone has a preference on how things should taste, but this definitely wasn’t for me. Wish I’d spent my money elsewhere in the many options nearby.
The staff there are very friendly and checks on you to make sure everything is all right, like the food and that they got the order right. The food there is great but be careful of what type of spice you want as there are 3 different kinds.
We were bit late for dinner and it was about to close but the manager allow us for dinner
She was so kind to us and also friendly.
Food was excellent and so was the service.
Enjoyed the whole experience and definitely recommend the place.
Beautiful Indian cuisines. Awesome atmosphere. Friendly staff. And their manager lady is so welcoming and greeted every customer. Will come back again when we visit Hobart next time.
Ordered Kadhai Paneer and Chicken curry, paneer was alright but chicken was terrible.
Would rather recommend Paneer or Dal if at all, have had similar experience with Balti chicken in the past.
If you really want to eat Indian food this is not the place as without” Mukhavas” your food is not complete in Indian traditional cuisine. Yes, they have it but you have to pay for “Mukhavas”. I haven’t seen any Indian restaurant like this. Rude staff
Yum! So impressed with my takeaway. Such lovely flavours and beautifully presented decent sized servings.
Not worth of money. Food quantity was less.cold served pappadm. Not enough butter on butter naan. We ordered raita and the quantity of raita was like just to taste (just one table spoon). Food was average.
This not a complaint as food was good but would like to ask the management something.
Please don't put picture of Mata Annapurna if you want to serve Non-Veg food. This is really unappropriate and it doesn't show corrent image of Indian culture.
Surprised by the negative reviews. I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food over the years, and this was well above average. Goat curry was decent, chicken tikka excellent, saag paneer had plenty of flavour. Enthusiastic service too. Thanks.
Both mutter panner and Veg Korma (with no nut paste) tasted same with different colour. They forgot the drink which we ordered and served only at the end of the dinner after reiterating. Dissatisfied.
Like the food was amazing don’t get me wrong and like I had the mango chicken and it was really cold But yeah it was right
The food arrived on time, customer service was really good, food was average I would say but the food quality was great. The environment was also pretty nice. We ordered for special thali and seafood thali with some starters, everything arrived on time without any delays. On the desert we ordered for mango kulfi, kulfi was really delicious. If you are in the city area and looking for a restaurant dinner with some drinks, this would be your place.
I was there on 29/4 for dinner. Served pappdums were feels like stale. Onion ring for an on tray was like just deep into the hot oil not hot enough and too oily. Order malai kofta and paneer butter masala with naan bread. They were delicious. At the payment desk, ask the staff to give me an itemized bill, I looked staff reaction and it was like what the hell I have asked her. She started to write on a letter head just like a doctor how they prescribe the medication. Not sure what those computers are there for.
