Zest Cafe reviews
49Delicious vegan burger and great all day breakfast. The mushrooms were yummy! Left very full and happy. Perfect for lunch in a pleasant town space
Unpretentious cafe. Friendly service, great coffee (huge mugs), good value, generous servings, tasty food. The big brekky would be better with some baked beans.
Very nice cafe (in an outdoor arcade) lots of nice outdoor seating that can cater for large groups.
I had potato & bacon soup and a large frozen berry drink, both delicious.
Fabulous food. Very rude, abrupt management. Chutney and butter not included, you need to order and pay for it as extra, but not explained when ordering. Poor communication & customer service.
We attended opening night for Dinner service at Zest Cafe.
Amazing food, friendly service/staff.
We arrived for a late dinner 8pm. Zest closes at 9pm, and although we were still there after closing time staff were more than happy to accommodate us. On our experience, we highly recommend you stop into Clare and grab a coffee or meal at Zest.
Great food and friendly service. Opened during public holiday and quick food service too. Food was tasty and value for money
We had lunch here today and it was the only bad experience in our week spent touring SA, the rest has been very impressive. My husband ordered a chicken BLT and asked for GF bread. The dish arrived with crumbed chicken which the waitress confirmed had gluten. We should have sent it back but we were hungry so my husband ate around the crumbed chicken. When the manager came out to ask about the problem, he suggested it was our fault for not consulting the written menu. He said he had plenty of customers wanting GF bread without caring if the rest of the meal was GF. We had waited (quite a long time) in line to order from the counter & the menu board didn't mention either GF or prices (so we were quite surprised that our modest lunch for two cost $46). Pretty poor on every front.
Had an evening meal. Food was exceptional and the owners and staff are fabulous. Nothing was to much trouble. One minor thing the water needs to be colder. I especially enjoyed the Brasheta I recommend it as a starter. The steak was cooked to perfection. Overall a very nice night, will certainly be returning.
Went for brunch, Great eggs with salmon for hubby and eggs and bacon for me.
Dog friendly. Puppy chinos and snacks given to my dog by owner.
Seriously, don’t waste your time and money. Had to wait FOREVER for our food. And then it finally came out and what a disappointment. Not only was one of my friends given two forks and no knife, another friend had egg shell in her meal. Not to mention the burnt coffee.
This place was so good for breakfast, that we came 2 mornings in a row here. The staff were super friendly, even though they were busy. We sat inside both mornings due to the cold Clare weather, but outside looked nice to sit at also. All orders were spot on both mornings. Will come again when in the area.
Bacon and egg sandwich with coffee.
The coffee, more than acceptable:)
Eggs, cooked to perfection:)
The bacon seemed to be budget thin, sub standard, the sort you might expect from a Lion's Club fundraiser: (
The toast. Why do so many cafes insist on squashing the toast and serving it wafer thin? This cafe did and it spoiled the lot. To me it seems pretty simple, cook bread at it's proper thickness to make toast, lay on some good quality bacon and an egg and put on the top slice.
The prices are about the same as most other coffee shops in the area, and the staff on the day were great, so serving better bacon and proper toast would help give this caff somewhat of a point of difference that would probably pay for itself with increasd patronage.
Excellent breakfast and coffee, has a massive amount of chai flavours.
The Zest Big breakfast was wonderful.
Wonderful service.
Will be back again!
A bit over priced but food and fresh juices were good. Goat cheese poached eggs & mushrooms was delicious. But Bruchetta had too much pesto for our liking, not enough fresh chopped tomatoes and onions.
Had the opportunity of feasting on different things e.g, the Power Protein Brekky and the mango smoothie. Absolutely sublime experience demonstrating the passion and the pains taken. The power protein brekky had so many elements e.g, the fritters, poached egg, along with so many other things to enjoy along-with (I am deliberately keeping some surprises up my sleeve for exploration). Absolutely delicious, power packed and extremely well curated. It is truly a brunch with no efforts left. Even on an empty stomach it was enough to keep us full for good 5/6 hours.
The smoothies are fabulous experiments with the culinary choices and they were absolutely on the mark. Great work guys, keep it up!
Walked in to cafe with 2 of my disabled clients, was rushed to order by the owner without even having time to decide what we wanted, was made to feel unwelcome by the owner. Ordered the banana and berry bread, asked owner to cut up the banana bread for my disabled client but was told l NO and that I would have to do it myself if I wanted it cut up, yet there was no one in the cafe so it wasn't like it was to busy to take time to cut up one piece and of bread, the owner didn't even ask the cook staff if they would mind to cut it. (the wait staff were great), toilets were not disability friendly either.
Simple and delish! Got the salmon ciabatta with hollandaise. Their hollandaise is a-mazing! And got a banana smoothie. Really hit the spot. Would come back here
The extra strong chai latté was amazing. Big breakfast was cooked perfectly except tomato's could be cooked slightly longer until soft. Very friendly staff. 4.5 stars from me
Just awesome.based on my last experience 2 months ago with Zest, been there with my friends and family and they met my expectations again. Cafe was very busy that time but the owner helped us understand the vegan/veg options. Food was super delicious, shakes and juice were freshly made and refreshing. Outdoor open sitting area with mist system makes this place more comfortable and relaxing.
Will 100% come back on every Clare trip.
Well done team zest.:)
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Clare. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing with vast menu to choose different flavor. Absolutely the best meal and also love the cool mist on a hot sunny day with freshly extracted orange juice. Highly recommend.
