Zambrero Rundle Street reviews
40The burritos are reliably tasty and pretty filling, and don't take long to prepare unless the place is really busy - there's sometimes a line out the door. When I used to work in the city I would spend my shifts fantasising about getting a burrito before my bus home, and I still like them a lot. As a plus, their website has surprisingly detailed nutritional information.
Absolutely sublime service, a gentleman named Oscar very politely but confidently recommended I try a slight variation on my burrito. Not only was I completely satisfied but so encouraged and excited to consume the burrito recommended by the professionals that I will continue to patronise this specific restaurant just in hopes of seeing the friend I made in that small interaction.
Clean, good food, has $3.50 frozen margaritas at the time of writing and a nice outside area out the back. Love it.
Recently ordered off Uber Eats - no issues with delivery at all. However, a different story with the service provided from Zambrero itself. My husband ordered a burrito with black rice and it was undercooked/uncooked (uncooked rice can also potentially be a risk for food poisoning) - I took a bite unknowingly and it hurt my teeth which could have potentially caused damage. Pretty disappointing. Phoned the business but didn’t help much just told us to call Uber Eats as they couldn’t do anything about it even though they were the business that technically provided the service and made the burrito - there’s no number for Uber Eats and found out we had to email. I can understand that we needed to liaise directly with Uber Eats but this is pretty unacceptable with regards to food preparation. Thankfully, Uber Eats responded promptly and were great even though it wasn’t their error. Won’t be dealing with Zambrero again.
I let my partner choose whatever restaurant he wanted to have dinner in last Saturday night and he chose Zambrero, partly because we had enjoyed some delicious Quesadillas at a festival a couple of weeks ago. He is also a health nut and all the fresh ingredients on display were another draw card. We are a bit old so it took a little while for the lovely young man serving us to explain how it worked. You pick a certain kind of taco, burrito or bowl and then you can add a combination of rice (black or white), beans, cheese, guacamole, sour cream and a sauce.
1 star is to many.
Went in for a lunch burrito on 7/12/20 And was served by a guy who had no clue. Disclosed to me that he was to tired for work while paying.
Not to mention his "exhaustion" meant he couldn't put the right meat in my burrito. Asked for pulled pork and when I started eating it was chicken.
Gutted and disappointed with the level of service at this particular zambys, anyone who wants zambys is better off visiting a different store. I will not be eating there again.
Was rudely told they weren’t open Sunday 2am when the open times on the door said otherwise and told it wasn’t their problem.
The burger place across the road are so much nicer.
Showed up 15 minutes after open time (10 am) expecting a nice set of nachos. Told the store would open in another 15, and yet the store only opened at approximately 11am.
Expected better
Amazing place! Loved it! Food is great and healthy. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Nice seating as well.
Great service, and the outdoor space through the back is cosy and a nice break from the noise of the city
Very yummy with gluten free options. Had a classic bowl and staff was very helpful and aware of cross contamination.
Great Zambreros and definitely worth a visit! Not very long a wait and lovely, friendly staff. If you're just looking for a light snack I would definitely recommend the Chikito.
Went during lunch and the line was massive! They may have been under staffed due to someone calling in sick. Still great food though.
Best Zambrero I've been to, excellent efficient and friendly service, and they weren't shy on the toppings!
One word. "DISGUSTING" $22 Worth of tastlest food, chips & dip, yuk and nachos, tiny amount of cheese then basically same as chip & dip, should have gone to Hungry jacks!
The service is between great and terrible, the food tells a great story in the range of ingredients but it’s just not backed up in the flavour in anything I’ve ever had. Having said that I have friends that don’t like spicy/ full flavoured foods that swear by Zambrero so if you like your Mexican pretty plain then the this could be the place for you.
Friendly staff and fresh ingredients. Their burritos usually taste quite well put together, and the service is always very quick. Lines move very fast compared to the one across from the train station in the city.
The franchise speaks for itself and we've been to this Zambrero a few times and have never had a bad experience. Awesome burritos!
Awesome, understanding staff. My partner is a coeliac and the staff fully accommodated her.
Thanks when we will be visiting Adelaide will definitely come back!
This is a pretty standard burrito fast food restaurant if you're familiar with the Zambrero franchise.
Being very centralised in the CBD it tends to get quite busy. But you'll find the line tends to go quite fast because of how fast the staff are here.
Within this establishment is two large tables inside which can sit up-to 8 people I believe, which is very handy if you and your group need a place to sit and can't find a table anywhere.
All in all this Zambrero is pretty good and fast with good seating. What more can you ask for.
