Woorabinda Bushland Reserve reviews
40Lovely area in Stirling. The lake is small, but it provides a tranquil environment for a walk. Bush walking serials start there as well.
This park is lovely, anyone can do the walk around the lake at ease. There is so much bird life and there are sections of boardwalk. It is dog friendly, provided your dogs are on the lead. It doesn’t have any rest rooms and the neighbouring buildings are very scrappy and rundown, but if you keep your eyes the other way you wouldn’t see the high fences.
Nice place for a quick walk. The entire lap around the lake takes about 5 minutes. The place is dog friendly (dogs must be on leash at all times). We spotted a couple of kangaroos out in the open.
Such a peaceful walk, lots of bird life, the ducks and other birds walk real close to you, saw a koala right next to the lake. Loved it
Quite a pleasant spot to have a walk. Wednesdays the old boys are here sailing their old remote controlled yachts. Peacefully glinting amongst the ducks as they pace the circuit.
There's a few variations on the walk worth doing, taking in views of the lake and surrounding bush along the back of some nice properties.
Decided to take a short drive from Stirling Hotel to Woorabinda Wetlands Reserves. Just stayed around the lake which photos turned out great. This reserve is big and has many trails but it is late afternoon and decide not to wander too far.
I chanced upon this area while on a break from work. Absolutely FANTASTIC place. It seems well looked after naturally, the water was very clear (for the wildlife).
I was standing on the end of the small jetty thing and 5 wild turtles, shyly, eventually came to say hi and to see if I have food.
Come down early morning, take a small walk, sit and stare at the wildlife, let them stare at you
Don’t litter, don’t destroy this place, don’t take the turtles and it’ll stay this way
A great little reserve. Dogs are welcome on leads. The only negative is the size, i just wish there were some more walkinv trails.
Lots of birds & very nice & chill place to visit! Take some time to sit & enjoy the environment & wait for the birds to come.
This is a lovely spot just outside of Stirling in the Adelaide Hills. Lovely remnant scrub sections, wetlands and lots of different birds. CVA is planting more trees in this reserve and the Friends of the Park keep this reserve a great wilderness spot to visit. Some younger volunteers would be very welcome additions to the Friends of Woorabinda Reserve, please look them up and give them a hand! I will visit again.
Nice short walking trail with a birdwatching hut if that's what you are into, not a lot of facilities on offer and no swimming but all in all pretty good.
Beautiful reserve close to Stirling. Enjoy a gentle stroll around the lake, or try the other trails around the reserve, featuring native woodlands, ferns and open grassed spaces.
Great little loop walking track with a hut to watch the wildlife overlooking the lake. Not much parking available. Lovely quiet spot with benches around the water.
Woorabinda is my laughing place. I did a Green Corps project there in 99-2000. A fair number of the plants around the damn, particularly just inside the main gate, my team planted. I go visit every chance I get.
Beautiful bush walk. Few little options for distance and on one of the benches there is a beautiful collection of stories and poems someone has shared.
This is an unknown by most complete gem in the Aldgate/Stirling area. Very highly recommended. A real delight for a walk or a family picnic.
Went for a nice little walk, spotted some interesting mushrooms on the trip which the kids enjoyed looking at. If you loop the track and back on to the road there is a pretty steep hill to take note of. Toilets and a lake to observe.
Always great for a walk (with or without dog). My so loves to go for a run around the lake. We enjoy the natural environment and meeting friendly people.
Nice quite bushland walk for humans and dog's only down side is the irresponsible people who dont pick-up after their dog
Such a great place. Almost perfect if it wasn't for all the dog poo there today. Not the parks fault but def don't bring your best shoes!
