William MacIntosh Motor Lodge

Excellent spot to break the trip from Melbourne to Adelaide. We booked two rooms: one of them pet friendly. They were both very comfortable. The service is excellent. The location, just on the edge of town, is quiet and green. Lots of good walks nearby for a dog. Very pleased to have found this one.

Went here for an evening meal. The cosy atmosphere and live music just added to the fantastic table service and friendly staff. The meals were awesome. We had a great time and would recommend the Highlander Restaurant to anyone who visits Naracoorte.

Excellent customer service and value for money. I would definitely stay again. Clean, comfortable, hot shower, good amenities. Enjoyed my stay.

We needed a 2 night stay of convenience to visit family but also a place that would allow our aged dog to stay inside with us. Well we got so much more! Our room was a good size with Queen bed, and a single bed with a small 4 person table and chairs, spacious bathroom all nicely clean and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our dog was comfortable with the bed/mat we took for her She had room to walk around inside, look out windows with wonderful grounds and surrounding area for us to take her on walks. We enjoyed our 1st breakfast at the restaurant so much that we decided most of our meals there. We weren't disappointed. We will be staying again.

If your planning a visit to Naracoorte, you must stay here. Rooms are spacious and clean and price is great

This must be the worst and most “run down” accommodation that I have stayed in, in Australia.

How are places like this still allowed to operate?

The furnishings, fittings & accessories were tired, very tired, worn out and extremely outdated. Think 1970’s!

Time for the owners to spend some money on the interior of the rooms so as to bring them up to date, as if not it will simply chase customers away.

The place makes my skin crawl. Of course there was no where else to stay on our drive back to Melbourne from Clare, Barossa Valley & McLaren Vale, especially at this time of year.

Perhaps this place relies on “one stay only” and no return guests? I would not stay here again if you paid me.

Absolutely fantastic customer service from the moment I walked into the reception area. The Highlander is also a fabulous restaurant … also with wonderful staff! We had scotch fillet steak which was exceptional…but were wowed by others ordering the tomahawk steak! Thanks for a great experience!

My work team and I arrived in Naracoorte for work but due to our schedules and meetings we didn’t check in on time and didn’t arrange keys for our rooms. A late night call to reception when a lovely gentleman luck answered and assisted me and manage to still get our group checked in and had our keys ready for us. He went over and beyond for us even though we were at fault. I was really grateful for his understanding and his excellent service. Only hotel will only use in the future. Thank you William MacIntosh and the lovely gentleman for outstanding service. So sorry for getting you out of bed.:/

Though we were working it was great to have a quiet place to sleep at the end of the day. The staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and the new ensuite was amazing. Last nights meal at the motels restaurant the Highland was very substantial and tasty. Well done to the team at the William Macintosh. We will be back when work brings us back to Naracoorte.

Comfortable motel with a great restaurant. Very friendly staff. It needs updating but is very clean, has a good bed and hot showers. What more do you need when travelling

Beautiful clean rooms. The food was amazing didn't have to go anywhere else. The nasi Goreng is a must. The apple cinnamon spring rolls for dessert were divine. The owners and staff went above and beyond. The only place to stay when In Naracoorte

Staff and owner are absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond for me with my week stay! They are so kind and caring, and will literally do everything to make you feel so comfortable, they we out of there way to make me lunches everyday for my stay, and spoiling myself and my 9month old with yummy snacks and constant greetings and waves making us feel more at home then at our own home! I couldn’t recommend staying here more! Bringing me breakfast, lunch and dinner right to my door with the biggest of smiles and chats. The staff alone are the reason why I will be back! Cleaners, the receptionist, just everyone who works here absolutely Beautiful xx

We’ve had a fabulous stay at the William Macintosh Hotel in Naracoorte and a wonderful dinner in the Highlander Restaurant. Tracey and her staff were so welcoming and so very patient with us! We’ll be back to stay next time we come down to Naracoorte.
