West Beach Chicken & Seafood

Food portions were huge, calamari rings were the biggest and best I've ever had. The buttermilk batter on our fish was so light and crispy and the fish was perfectly cooked. Service was outstanding and overall an excellent atmosphere. We sat down to dine in and the owner brought our food over to us. 5 stars highly recommend.

The best chicken fish and burger shop in Australia. I have travelled Oz for 9 years straight and can't believe how consistent and how good the food is no other store comes close

Prawns were juicy and tasty but.we ordered 2 yiros. It took over half an hour for our order.
Had to ask if it was ready. No apology, just a rude it's ready now, put on the counter without a word. Very poor customer service. Yiros was OK but had no sauce and very little tomato.

I am from Victoria and these fish and chips are vastly superior to anything I've eaten in my home state for years! Calamari was large, tasty and soft, flake was yummy, chips were delicious, potato fritters (or cakes as we call them in Vic) were crunchy. Highly recommended.

Thank you for the amazing food. Even though I came in late last night. Hadn’t realised you were closing. You still served me. You didn’t say anything about it was your closing time just happily served me. I’m so grateful thank you so much. My family loved the fish and chips too. ️

Went twice, first time everything was great
Second time the chips were soggy and undercooked so we threw them out
They need to be more consistent!

Good fish and chips. Bloke behind the counter was a bit grumpy and not that flexible with the packs. Still a decent sized serve of chips and not bad priced (for today's standards) to feed a family of four. The potato cakes or scollops as they call them over in SA we huge. Definitely worth considering if you are looking for decent fish and chips.

Great fish and chip spot. My partner and I tend to visit here for an f&c’s always. I do find the chips vary on quality, like last time they were fluorescent! Batter on the fish is lighter than other shops and of course they’re close to the beach so always a win.

Tasty food in a convenient position. Excellent walk along West beach as well. The menu is large with plenty of options and pack deals. The hot chips were great. Definitely recommend the butter fish and the yiros pack.

Just walked in and got a great 'burger with the lot' and the chips were pretty good too. The wait for the food was long as this place was super busy, but they called me when the order was ready for pickup.

Gentleman who served us was nice and friendly. We really enjoyed our lunch, my potato fritters were a bit too oily but I still enjoyed them. Thank you

Updated to add, name has now been changed on the store. Customer service was still a bit average but adjusted review to be fair.

Had the $26 combo pack tday.crumbed praqns, crumbed calamari, 2 battered butterfish chips n tartare sauce.
Not bad value, prawns nice size, calamari huge bt forsakes quality and a bit stronger in flavour thn sml rings. As preference i prefer smller rings as theyre easier t eat. Huge is not always better. Crumbing fell off as we tried t eat it! Awkward. Chips not the nicest, bit dry n floury in texture. I fgot t request chikn salt. However, some places use a tasty savoury flavoursome style anyway. Yellow in colour? Not the best brand out there and, we didnt eat them.
Chicko rolls r bit slimmed dwn these days.it was cooked from thawed. Had this b4, elsewhere. Chickos cook best from frozen. Theyre kept n taste fresher that way.
Idf i was in this business. I' d use a better brand chip f sure. Fast service and clean place which are important tho.

Orders wrapped in paper or boxed in cardboard, no plastic!
Cold drinks, salads, rice pudding and ice creams also available.
Can be quite busy so phone ahead to beat the line.
