Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary reviews
44The diverse gorgeous animals are loved, well looked after and special. The keepers, especially Maddy, clearly love their jobs, are so friendly and knowledgeable. Such a beautiful, interesting, amazing place! I especially love the birds and kangaroos. So hard to leave. Keep up the fantastic work, Warrawong!
Such happy, friendly staff made this a really enjoyable day. Beautiful grounds to wander around, friendly animals to pat and feed, informative hands on demonstrations with a variety of animals and delicious food for lunch in the Cafe.
Can't wait to take the family back for a dusk tour soon.
Thanks for a great day Warrawong
Of course it's fantastic. A sensible business minded couple who really care for the animals and customers? What's not to love? Decades of thought and hard work has gone into this place and let's hope they are going to begin reaping some rewards.
Very disappointed would rather spend the extra money and go to other wildlife parks
Small and not alot to see us adults and kids were very disappointed
The Koala experence was eye opening and an experience not to be missed. The whole scantury was amazing with fantastic staff, the cafe was excellent with really good coffee. Did not see it all toady and want to spend more times with the Platypus and have a Dingo experence. So will be back next month.
Our Daughter spent the day doing the "Junior Keeper" and absoloutely loved every moment from start to finish!
The staff were lovely, the keeper with her made her feel very comfortable and she loved her lunch also Highly recommend
I went for reptiles, and I sure got 'em! The carers were nice and so were the reptiles, they were being properly cared for and seemed really calm. 10/10 would recommend!
Paradise for kids to be in the sanctuary, along the kangaroos, emus, ducks and koalas. Beautiful place. Highly recommended.
Excellent Australian wildlife sanctuary where you can have close encounters with koalas, kangaroos, emus as well as many other birds and animals.
We did the koala caper encounter and loved it.
Most of the koalas are rescue animals and happily let you pat them or pose for photos.
There are all kinds of activities and demonstrations as well as a cafe with a log fire.
It's an excellent place for a family day out.
Loved seeing the new shed cafe and stopping for a coffee and we definitely will be back when it is warmer to see the animals with our grandchildren.
I had Warrawong2u come out for my son’s birthday party. It was absolutely fantastic, all the kids loved it! I highly recommend this for a kids birthday party. The presenter was super informative and engaged well with the kids. The snakes were a big hit and the kids got to hold one (at the same time it was so big). We will definitely come down to see the sanctuary soon.
Food was basic but good. Wildlife looked well looked after. Be prepared for some steep hills if you want to see all there is to see.
Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a range of rare and endangered species, as well as a host of rescued animals.
It's not very big here, and there are not many animal species. When we see these rescued animals are living well here, we must pay tribute to the founders, managers and staff of this Sanctuary.
The staff here are very friendly and nice. We can get close to some animals here, such as koalas, kangaroos, emu, dingoes, pythons, lizards, tortoises, parrots and so on. Of course, also platypuses, but it is usually difficult to find them.
This was such a wonderful morning outing for our family. We had so much fun walking around the open grounds, feeding and patting the kangaroos, running from the wild geese, and getting to know the resident wildlife.
The keepers were very friendly and loved to encourage us to get involved with the animals.
Very affordable for the family, and interactive experiences felt very intimate with the animals as opposed to a tourist factory like some of the larger wildlife parks.
This will be a frequent day out for us!
We have just done a dusk tour of Warrawong Sanctuary and it was an amazing experience seeing the animals that come out at night. A big thankyou to David and his staff for this great tour. We also visited the Sanctuary during the day a few weeks ago and can highly recommend a visit to this great place.
Had a great visit with our bus tour. Talk by the keeper was very interesting &intro to some of the residents of the park. Nice lunch & then a wander through the natural surroundings to see the wildlife. A great visit
A great place to come with the kids. There are presentations to help us know better about Dingo, Koala, and other animals.
Lovely place. Great waking trails but very steep and uneven so not suitable for the disabled or some elderly people. A few nice rest stops throughout to just sit and be apart of nature.
Thoroughly enjoyed a fully interactive, information packed, dusk walk.even managed to see an elusive platypus in its own habitat. Stongly recommend this inspirational animal adventure.special thanks to Warrawong's guide Mandy.
The Shed Cafe is our favourite cafe in the hills, all proceeds go back to the sanctuary so always a great place to grab a coffee.
Huge walls of windows overlooking a babbling stream, with plenty of birds darting through the trees.
