The appearance looks average, and the interior environment is also average, but it changes once I eat the waffles. I would say this is the best waffle I have ever eaten. It has a crispy and sweet texture, so delicious! Unexpectedly There are such amazing waffle shops in town!

Great coffee and delicious waffle. Enjoyed The Gem. Great prices for the indigenous art and opal jewellery.

Not going to lie, the look of this place could turn you away but the man who owns it is very friendly he cooks great pancakes and waffles and the coffee is great too! We had breakfast there on the way through and on our way back from our holiday would definitely stop there again if we ever pass through

A perfect brekkie spot with great company. Two brekkies for under $20 and the food was delicious. It made our short visit even more special, a must stop when you’re in town.

Went here for breakfast on our stay in Coober Pedy. The people are lovely and the waffles are to die for. Prices are fair and the place is very clean. Quite possibly one of the best places to eat in town! It’s a must for sure!

Scottish Jimmy and his German wife are a Great couple, nice coffee & yummy Belgium Waffles with Berries & Icecream. And the Opals are worth looking at also.

At first you'd think if you are at the right place. But, when you get the Waffles & you start eating. You'd be grateful you came! Delicious Belgium Waffles & Great cup of coffee! Come enjoy & give your day a great start!

My instinct was to leave as I walked into the place and I should have listened to it. Very dingy and stank of stale cigarette. Felt very unhygienic. My partner and I ordered lemon and sugar pancakes with berries. Pancakes were dry and fell apart. The lemon was bottled juice and made the whole pancake just take sour and bitter. Inedible such that I had to force myself just to eat a few bites. Coffee was from a push button machine and undrinkable. For $6 I would have expected barista coffee. It was very bitter and I had to throw it out. The owner was kind of nice so I feel bad about the negative review but I was very disappointed nonetheless.

Had waffles and a coffee X 2. $31. Reasonable price. Jimmy the owner was a nice guy once you got him talking. We sat outside in the sun. Not 5 star but very good for Coober Pedy. Give it a go.

We didn’t even stay to order anything. Only the one guy working there. We watched him microwave someone else’s meal and take it out to them. Not exactly “made fresh daily” as the menu says.

Nope. Not for me. I suspect the coffee is a mix.not ground beans. Got a sandwich instead of a croissant and took ages for everything to arrive. Really nice people but place is about food, service and coffee.

The service and people were lovely. I was a little disappointed that 'pancakes' actually equated to a single pancake. It was smothered in maple syrup (yum) with a limpish shortcut piece of bacon on top. For the price, it was very overrated. I also ordered a chai. It was so strong I couldn't drink it.

I went here a couple years ago, and I'm still thinking about the pancakes I had here. They were incredible. Honestly the best pancakes I've ever had.

Our waffles definitely didn't look like previous photos we had seen. They were ok but the presentation was pretty messy and coffee was pretty ordinary.

Me and my family went on a trip around australia and this was the absoloute best cafe I went to. Me and my brother looked at the opals since its one of the first time ive seen opals.if you are going to coober pedy go here!

Lovely place, waffles were amazing. Owner is really nice, great to chat with him. 100% recommend having a coffee here and a chat.

I came for the waffles and stayed for the pancakes. Great breakfasts and chats here, highly recommend it as a must visit cafe in Coober Pedy!
