Bordering the city to the south is a magic strip of gardens even in summer it's lush green grass and streams are easily mistaken for English countryside.
And for extra enjoyment are the ducks and numerous other bird breeds to watch to about their daily lives.

I was thinking you could eat Veale here (the little baby cow) which is FORBIDDEN in my culture so I had created a protest sign and when I got here it was just beautiful all the animals you can eat here is just ducks but I think that is illegal to just go around killing ducks so good thing I am a vegetarian and do not kill anything, I am an Engineer

Love walking around Veale Gardens. Flowers and shrubs are beautiful. Community garden behind the gardens is worth a look.

A perfect garden. A creek goes through it, bringing a lot of fun. The lawn is beautiful and there are many flowers. Wild ducks, pelicans, Australian white ibis and many other birds live here.

An amazing location for a wedding. Large trees give plenty of shade for guests. We then walked over to the Pavilion Restaurant for the reception. An elegant venue with fantastic food.

Lovely parklands, especially in the springtime. Lots of walking paths and even when there are other people around, it never feels too crowded. Lots of ducks and other birds around, and plenty of shady spots to just sit and have a picnic or watch the world go by.it’s great that is right there in the city - You can also usually find a park along south terrace, even during the week, and the south Terrance tram stop is right there at the east end of the gardens.
One downside is that some of the rockpools aren’t very well maintained - the water in very low in them and they smell kind gross.

Beautiful peaceful place in the heart of the city. Awesome rose garden. Will try to visit more often with my family.

Beautiful setting yet the yelling abuse from groups of people drinking in communities ruins the experience

Went to attend a community festival. Lovely place to roam around. Finding car park can be a real trouble.

What a beautiful sanctuary on a hot day to rest. Pity general public can't get food or drinks though.

Beautiful park just outside the Adelaide CBD.
Huge playground with public toilets and nice park with lots of benches for your outdoor lunch getaway and lawns if you fancy a picnic. And CBD is just a 5-10 minutes walk away.

Lush green lawns, beautiful sunken rose gardens, water features and more make this a great park much loved by locals and visitors alike.

Great Gardens, well maintained, with a variety of spaces good for different uses. Sunken spaces attract children to play with the levels, and toilets and playgrounds are nearby.

Lovely meandering paths wind through some hidden gardens a stones throw from busy south terrace.beautiful garden settings abound throughout the whole gardens system. I happened to be attending a wedding and the grounds are kept very well and as such, the event was very special. Worth a visit for a walk through or an event
