Veale Gardens reviews
45Very well presented grounds, great place for a mid day walk. Close to the city with space to relax, breath and enjoy the scenery
Great venue for function with parking. Good good and service. Slightly noisy to talk with band in same room.
Such a pretty park, great space and so scenic. Nice spot to walk dogs, have a picnic, go for a run or just enjoy the surroundings. In the city but plenty of parking and feels very quiet and peaceful.
What a wonderful area so close to the city with beautifully landscaped areas, creek, water features etc. Absolutely love this space
Lovely parklands, especially in the springtime. Lots of walking paths and even when there are other people around, it never feels too crowded. Lots of ducks and other birds around, and plenty of shady spots to just sit and have a picnic or watch the world go by.it’s great that is right there in the city - You can also usually find a park along south terrace, even during the week, and the south Terrance tram stop is right there at the east end of the gardens.
One downside is that some of the rockpools aren’t very well maintained - the water in very low in them and they smell kind of gross.
Lovely gardens and grassed areas. Beautiful statues of a lovely lady and Pan the Piper that suits the sunken gardens.
The little watercourse trickling through the Park with it's resident ducks and other wildlife is perfect and so relaxing considering it's proximity to city.
Adelaide sure was planned well with all the beautifully kept parklands surrounding the CBD with easy access for all to enjoy.
Such a beautiful open space with lush green grass, man made waterfalls and river throughout the garden. There is also a beautiful display of roses which is the instant attraction. It would be perfect for a picnic or to simply read nice book on the grass enjoying the sounds of nature.
A little piece of quiet in the South Parklands. Perfect for a contemplative walk or some communion with nature.
Beautiful and peaceful. My family enjoyed a nice walk around the gardens and lakes. Highly recommended.
Peaceful, garden full of lovely roses. There are ducks swimming in ponds. Lots of nice trees.
Birds poos needs to be cleaned up around garden eg on the grass and benches around garden.
Perfect spot.
Immaculate European gardens, the grass and roses are not sprayed with pesticides. Safe for pets and children.
Absolutely beautiful Parklands and great place for a picnic or to take your dog for a walk and the rose garden is delightful and all right on the southern edge of Adelaide's CBD.highly recommended
Beautiful walks with lots of small waterfalls. Easy to park and free. Could use some water stations for dogs though. Otherwise very Beautiful.
Veale Gardens is on South Tce between Sir Lewis Coen Dve and Peacock Rd. It is also accessible by tram. These gardens conttain a rose garden, conservatory and the Pavilion on the Park restruant is nearby. The Adelaide Council do an excellent job in maintaining the roses and gardens. It is in full colour in spring. Worthy of a visit.
Veale Gardens are stunningly beautiful and a credit to the many hard-working groundstaff and gardeners who keep it so well looked after and maintained. Very calming and beautiful to walk through.
Beautifully maintained! Close to the hustle and bustle of the city yet the size of the garden is big enough to drown out the noise of the city. Peaceful and quite a few flowers set up along with a couple of water features and beautifully carved paths along the water where you can see ducks and other birds.parking may have to be along the street
Beautifully manicured gardens and rose garden, pleasant all year round. Plenty to explore for both young and old. The water features and fountains are popular attractions.
This was the most Beautiful relaxing park i have ever been too! The views are stunning with water features and rose beds and a pond good play equipment too very Beautiful place
Picked a bunch of roses, good for resetting the body's time clock. Just walk up to one that hasn't opened. Blow your hardest on it and than smell it. You will see what I mean.
Beautiful gardens within the Adelaide Park Lands. Much nicer flowers than in the Botanical Gardens, though fewer varieties.
Not a huge place, but nice to take a short walk around.
