Urumqi Uyghur Cuisine reviews
33 Urumqi has got to be one of the best Uyghur restaurants in Australia. If you’re in Adelaide, you don’t know what you’re missing out on. But you have to come hungry. The dishes are big and filling. Bring a table of friends, get the kawap, get the dapanji (big plate of spicy chicken with flat noodles), the ding ding saomien, and try some ayran sweet yogurt drink to settle it all down.
You can smell the delicious charcoal bbq from down the street, just follow your nose to culinary central Asian heaven.
Food was good. Service was non-existent if you didn't speak Chinese. They brought food 40 minutes late and blamed it on being busy. Restaurant was half full. There's no coordination between wait staff and kitchen.
The food is tasty and bulky. Just not really happy that when they told me that they don’t accept foreign credit card.
They should be ashamed of the service today on the 21/2/2021. Who ever was working as the waitress today at 11 needs to get fired ASAP. Her attitude is just so bad that I could not believe it. I have never seen a waitress with this altitude in my entire life. This, will be the last time that I eat in this restaurant.
Serve chinese/Ughur dishes and are halal certified too. I found the venue smelly and tacky due to bad ventilation, probably better for take away option. Quantity was good and service was also ok.
Very bad service and meat, i told them no blood on meat as i dont trust the quality of their meat but they still brought meat with some blood. After i told them again they said blood is healthy, dont try this place
Waited one hour for food. Was served no food. Kept on asking multiple waiters and was still not provided any food or even an update.
One of the best restaurants I've eaten my meals, but come here when you feel like a lion haha very reasonable price good quality quantity and fantastic taste all should try for sure
The store is located at the end of Chinatown. A pretty spacious store and has outside seating.
The service is quite good as they're really nice.
The serving size is really big and worth the money. The food tastes really good and just the amount of spice that you want. Order lesser than you think you need.
Excellent customer service
Good quality food
Not excessively salty which was great
I think their kebabs are best value for money
Lamb and rice was not particularly delicious. Gritty rice, lamb not tasty, huge quantity of rice and small quantity of meat. Serving was satisfactory.
Extremely delicious food, worth the wait and absolutely affordable too.but the customer service is extremely poor, especially the female staff - very rude!
So be prepared for to deal with that to get to the delicious food (:
Dinner at Urumqi Uyghur Cuisine restaurant: we have not been here before. They had pretty good food overall, but I think it's not the best Uyghur food in Adelaide. I don't know if I'd come here again unless our favourite place is closed (like this time haha).
.
Egg and chive stir-fry: this is one of my favourite dishes in the world! Reminds me of my mom's cooking. Obviously I think my mom's is better, but this is pretty decent!
.
Eggplant stir-fry: they did a really fantastic job with this dish. The eggplant was perfectly done - full of flavour, soft, and not too oily. Loved it!
.
Hand pulled noodles with lamb and vegetables: the noodles were excellently made, with a nice texture. They brought out the lamb and vegetable stir-fry separately with the noodles, and then poured the stir-fry over the noodles at your table. Super tasty!
.
Lamb ribs: the flavour was great, but the lamb ribs themselves were slightly on the dry side.
.
Lamb and chicken wing skewers: these were a bit of a disappointment to be honest. The charcoal flavour was a bit inadequate. The lamb didn't really have enough seasoning, and was a bit undercooked.
