Unley Oval reviews
45 I'm a support worker and l took Pauly to the AFLW Adelaide Crow's, we had a ball.
The Crowd and atmosphere, the venue catering 10/10 and the Crow's won.
When there for the women's football and the experience was fantastic with up to grade ground and grandstands.
Great new clubrooms, the oval was a complete bog. Council need to do some upgrades to this oval to cater for Sanfl games.
Great park. I like knowing the history of a place. In 1881, Edmund Trimmer donated the land for the people of Unley, it was known then as 'New Parkside Oval' Renamed as 'Unley Oval' in 1892. Redevelopment of the oval was completed in 1991.
Great Oval with excellent facilities. White picket fence which gives it a feeling of old. Lovely grass areas for families to picnic together.
Watched an AFLW game between The Crows and Geelong. The weather was perfect. I sat on a rug on the grass 3 metres away from the fence at a half forward position and had a brilliant view of the game. The Crows won by 2 points.
Best football team and cheer squad/supporters in the league oval always clean another entry/exit point like other ovals would be preferable on game days
Pretty big oval with 2 grand stands on the side.there are fair few tables, shelters and barbecues around the edge of the oval.directly opposite the grandstands is a big shelter with barbecue and multiple benches along with some nearby tennis courts.the oval is a short 5-10 minute drive from town.there are 2 nearby playgrounds as well with one being significantly bigger than the other.the oval is also well lit at night.
Wonderful oval. Plenty of dog walkers and people jogging but always room to walk around as well. Haven't seen any live sport here, just visit for a walk.
Has to be the most aesthetically pleasing oval in all of adelaide! The turf is immaculate and the trees and garden surrounds are well maintained and add cooling and greening.
Oval and atmosphere was amazing but coffee van was so slow. Took 25 mins to be served and only 6 people ahead of me
Attended for the Granddaughters U15 Footy Grand Final. Would have to be one of the best local grounds in Adelaide. Fantastic to look at and great atmosphere. And she won her final, what more do you want. Parking could be better.
It's my church The home of the mighty Sturt Football Club & it's the best place in the land to watch SANFL football
A beautiful peaceful open green space. Reminiscent of an English cricket ground. Excellent facilities (BBQ's, Picnic Tables undercover, Play equipment &Toilets) and a beautiful backdrop of the Adelaide Hills.
Adelaide Hills as the backdrop, white picket fence surrounded Autumn tree colours, beautiful and picturesque, Unley oval lovely day out for the family, the best oval in the SANFL.
I've been going to this oval since the 60s. It's the home ground of "The Sturt Football Club".
It's changed (for the better), but still retains the suburban, grass roots footy that we all love.
Great oval. Go you Blues!
Great sporting oval with play area for kids, sheltered stands, BBQs public conveniences and picnic areas. It's a designated off leash area with resonable care responsibilities to ensure everyone's enjoyment.
Great park area for letting the kids and pooch loose. Bbq facility & undercover picnic table areas. It also has a couple of play equipment areas for the kids. Ample parking and worthy of a visit to burn off some of the built up energy we all know the little gremlins can store up for mum and dad around bed time! Oh and it also has public toilets as well
Love the Unley oval. Sturt Football Club. I ran 10 laps 3 times a week sometimes 15 laps. Back in 2007 to 2013.
