Most authentic chicken rice so far. Only problems I had were that the rice could be more fragrant and the chili sauce was a bit too diluted. However, probably one of the only places to get crispy roast chicken which was exactly on point, while the poached chicken and roast pork were excellent, while the accompanying ginger sauce was amazing as well

Growing up in Singapore this dish will always have a special place in my heart, visiting from Sydney walked past the sign last night when it wasn't open and with the name I knew I had to come back and try when it was open. True to the name came back today and it is indeed authentic. Pity it took quite a while into my Adelaide trip to find it, feels like I'm back in a Hawker centre enjoying a meal. Best chicken rice I've had in a long time. Highly recommend.

So far the best chicken rice in Adelaide I had tried. $10 for authentic chicken rice, best value. Also like the Penang style Char Kway Teow and the Laksa broth for the Yong Tau Foo. Highly recommend if you are nearby.

My wife is Asian, she has high standards for this kind of food, and she finished before I was half done, which never happens. Needless to say, the chicken is done well, tender, and the rice has a great flavor too. The thing that stands out most to me is the sauces, a rich and powerful flavor. There’s also a number of additional herbs and bean shoots that come with the dish, so you have plenty of interest in taste to go with what’s normally a fairly simple dish.
Comparing to other Hainanese Chicken that I’ve had in Adelaide the presentation is fairly average, but they’re going for a hawker stall aesthetic here, so that’s fine with me.
We ran out of sauce but they were happy to give us a second.

It delivers what the name says: authentic. Hands down to one of the best hainanese chicken rice in Adelaide. Best $10 you will spend for lunch or dinner. Had the crispy skin roast chicken and you can opt for thighs or breast. The breast was so moist! Would love to have spicier chili dip but other than that, all great. Would definitely come back!

Really authentic style cuisine here, loved their traditional style and the food really was awesome. Super friendly staff, convenient location and very clean open kitchen.

This is among the few places in Adelaide that focuses purely on a single dish, and im glad to say they do it extremely well. Their chicken rice is fantastic, down to the chili and ginger sauces. Service is quick but without sacrificing quality of the dish. Their place is tiny though and a line quickly builds up outside so this should be a considering when planning to dine in. That said, they do provide a takeaway service. I am not sure if they deliver. Also, Asahi beer lovers will rejoice as they have both Asahi and Asahi Black available on tap.

Shiok! Cute little shop decked out with a nice interior to enjoy your poached chicken with flavoursome sauce. Found the chili sauce a tad too sweet though, but experience was divine. Hawker ethos (affordable food for all)

Best Hainanese chicken rice dish of my life. So so fantastic nothing else can genuinely compare. The rice alone is the nicest rice ever - I could eat bowls and bowls of it on its own. The chicken is so soft and the sauces are wonderful and homemade. Very affordable and probably the best lunch you could ever get for this price.

Chicken rice is a standard meal served in varying degrees of quality in different places. This is certainly at the upper end of the scale in quality, but not in price. The chicken rice is served with some interesting sauces that you won't find in other places. There are variations on the standard chicken rice dish around the world, and Ricky's has its own way of doing it. It's slightly original but true to the origins of the dish. If you have never eaten chicken rice before, get some. It's a classical Asian dish that an aspiring gourmet must sample.

Was passing through Adelaide recently and managed to stop by for some chicken rice! Was so good that we had another plate!

The chicken and soup are both delicious! But the rice isn't as rich or flavourful as expected, and the red chilli sauce is a bit on the sour side. Probably a bit too much vinegar. Overall good, but nowhere close to what you can get in Malaysia or Singapore.

An amazing and quite reasonably priced lunch option. Good, hearty chicken rice options that hit the spot on a cold winter's day.

Amazing food and great customer service. The fried egg compliments the flavours of the dish very well, overall an exceptional experience, 10/10.
