Thorndon Park Reserve reviews
43One of the best public parks in Adelaide. So many bbq facilities, kids play area and a vast area for enjoying picnic and other activities.
Great facilities, with an intriguing history as the site of Adelaide's earliest reservoir. The playground and pavilion are impressive, though crowded during summer.
Great shady walks. Very scenic!
Great amenities! Great place to get in shape. Highly recommended!
Good place for family and kids, nice little track around the pond adds to the beauty. Good size parking.
BBQ facilities are provided here. A cafe run by Rotary can be found here. We can also visited a beautiful reservoir. Love this place.
This is a very large area, consisting of children play area, artificial waterfall, some water lines, a lake, an amphitheater and plenty of walking tracks. You can spent a whole day staying here
A very well maintained park, perfect for a walk and to sit by the lake for some quiet time, lots of ducks and birdlife to see aswell and great picnic area
Nice park to walk around or just hangout with family or friends on weekends. Plenty of barbecue facilities, there is a playground for children, and an oval.
A beautiful park to walk and get some exercise or gather with family and friends. There's toilets, playground and lots of beautiful areas to enjoy
Lovely park, has outdoor table tennis, several playgrounds, a gazebo, a big undercover area and lots of nice picnic spots. The creek is good fun for kids to have leaf races in, and there's barbecues with plenty of shade around for get togethers. Usually quite busy on weekends, but it is quite spacious!
Was good night a bit cold weather wise
Some.good stalls but could of had a bit more of variety
Lovely walk around the reserve, the only thing stopping me from rating it a 5 was the play equipment area was closed down for maintenance other than that its good.
The main part of the playground is shut down at the moment. Smaller section of play equipment is available for use. Lots of dry dead trees and shrubs on the perimeter of the park.
NO bbqs, NO ball games, NO bikes, NO dogs. Such a negative place with too many restrictions. Hardly in the community spirit.
A very large park, with plentiful car parking (the surface of which is recycled material).
Sections for all activities, including sports, eating areas & walking trails. Good, central toilet facilities & plenty of shade.
A great option for a picnic in the Paradise area.
One of the best recreational parks in Adelaide. Plenty of options for a family day out. The play equipment is modern and cater for all ages of children. Nice spot for a BBQ or a picnic. Snack shops available for meal purchases. Facilities are clean and well maintained
Very Nice and quiet.
Has plenty of covered space
Very good for children
Has a small waterfall
Good for kids parties
Also has booking options.
A great place to relax and enjoy the views. Good walking paths with the main wide path ideal for wheelchairs and prams. Getting close to nature feeding the water fowls ducks etc. Great for teaching young children about Wildlife.
Great colourful playground including a wheelchair swing.
Very picturesque and my go-to park for a quick stroll for fresh air and some meditation ️
Surprisingly a lot of wildlife here given the relatively small size of the park itself.
During warm summer days you may spot turtles swimming or sun bathing along the shore of the west part of the lake.
Seeing some fairy wrens is also not uncommon. These are some of the most adorable birds you will ever see just because of their tiny frame!
If you're lucky you may spot a koala here too.and even some water marsupials running across the trails from bush to bush.
Families from many different cultures come together for barbecue on weekends along with children playing at the playground and on the oval.
It's a beautiful thing!
Always feel at peace here ️
Highly recommended!
