Thorndon Park Reserve reviews
43Great little playground. Being Adelaide in summer, it could do with some shade areas over the play equipment and the Kiosk is very simple.
Family friendly Park with all amenities provided. Campbelltown residents can consider ourselves lucky!
This Park is the best in my opinion but it would be even better if there r basketball courts there
If u see this pls put basketball court’s there
Attended the Moonlight markets Friday 3rd December at the park. An excellent park. Well looked after.
A beautiful park for all ages and for all occasions. Only comment is when families and community clubs orgonise their activities it becomes uncontrollable with rubbish everywhere and no courtesy to others - normal visitors!
I feel like this is a bit of a hidden gem; tucked away with nice scenic water views, a decent walking trail and play area
No dogs.
This is a gross injustice.
Campbelltown council has definitely dropped the ball here.
Thorndon Park has a great atmosphere for family and friends. We came for a picnic and I was a little busy but that didn’t matter. With so much space on the reserve it’s so easy to find a spot to spread out. A really nice spot
Getting run down.
The kiosk was open but the kiosk tables were occupied by a party eating their own food.
Love this park, lots of space for a picnic or party. Dog free park. Toilets available.
Lots of shaded areas, BBQ areas, playground. Outdoor gym. Lots of birds and ducks. Great loop walk.
We once saw a koala up in the trees.
Lovely park however needs more paths to picnic dining areas to make them accessible for disability and elderly people found it incredibly difficult.
Pleasing leisure park, equipment for kids, barbecues for family day out, paved running/walking trail, water tower and duck pond views. Plenty of space.
First time here and it has great walking paths, picnic areas, bbqs and toilets. Only saw one lot of toilets but couldn't find any disabled ones. Keen to go back and explore the rest of the park.
Always lovely here. Especially of late while we've had some sun.
A great spot to hang out, go for a walk, have a picnic or BBQ. Great for kids too, play equipment is excellent and the kiosk is open on the weekend. You can buy duck food and feed the ducks!
Excellent park for gatherings. Huge playground areas for children. Ducks on the pond to feed consequently NO DOGS allowed. The pavilion offers 3 areas for under cover but keep in mind, these areas cannot be booked or RESERVED, it's a 'first in, best dressed' policy. A kiosk is there but wasn't open during the Sunday morning we were there. Highly recommend this park for your next outdoor gathering. Just leave Fido at home.
It was March 11,2018 when I visited here with my wife, daughter together with our friend who stayed in Adelaide. Nice, unwind, and quiet place and my wife, who had passed away on December 31,2020 in Japan, always remembered this place.
A lovely place. Peaceful. Entertaining and well serviced for family. Ducks, water and greenery. All good stuff!
This is how all parks and Recreational areas should be trying to look like. Great place for families and friends, friendly environment.
It's a nice park,
But don't go there on a Sunday unless you're wearing an oxygen mask, as you'll get smoked out/choked by all the b.y. O.barbecues there all clouding up the open space.been there 2 Sundays in a row and it's just Dreadful the smoke.spoils the place.oh, and have fun playing spot the Aussie while you're there, lol?
