Thebarton Theatre reviews
39Needs to invest in an upgrade on the air conditioner because it gets so stuffy in there, and they get some great acts so if would be nice if we could enjoy them without struggling for air!
Went to see Kasey Chambers last week. The concert was amazing and so was the venue. I've been going to this theatre since the 80s.so historic. All the staff were very helpful.had a great night there.
No smoking venue but allows smoking during intervals at open doors. Result is a revolting smell in the venue?
Great show, Great venue, Great staff only problem, the seats are way too small. I'll just have to pay extra for better seats next time.
Great venue for a concert. Has a lot of character. At interval they had staff directing people in the ladies toilets. Seeing the crowd that was there, everything went quite efficiently. After concert opened side doors so all could exit quickly. Can park for free in the side streets so that also is a bonus
First time in this Theatre loved the old style look, it's preservation is fantastic I really hope they don't pull it down.
Acoustics are top notch here. Amazing atmosphere would recommend over larger stadium type venues. Can still fit 2-3k ppl.
Great old theatre for concerts, saw Gary Clark Jr and Hamish Anderson. Good time was had by all
Enjoy it everytime we go. Our favourite place for wood oven pizzas, large meals have never let us down
Great show Colin Hay and his band but the sound quality wasn't so great and the chairs were very uncomfortable
I love seeing gigs at The Thebbie! The venue has great sound, atmosphere and even if you're in the back row, it's still a million times better than being at the Adelaide Oval or the Entertainment Theatre!
I was mighty impressed with this old beauty, for some reason I have never been to this Theatre, what a fantastic space, with a great atmosphere. Beautiful high ceilings with incredible detail. My friend and I sat in the lounge section, would highly recomend. We saw the classic Tim Minchin and what a show he put on. Fantastic night all round.
Attended the annual comedy gala which was fab never afraid to sit in the front row. Great old theatre and Adelaide icon
Amazing all round venue! Saw Tash Sultana here, versatile viewing (enjoyed the view from the upper deck) clean toilets and quick bar service. What more could you ask for!
Love Thebby theatre, it’s one of my all time favourite concert venues. It’s large enough to draw a good crowd but small enough to feel like your in an intimate venue with your favourite bands. Last visit (The Offspring) the aircon struggled a bit making it a tad uncomfortable but still a great night
I love the fact that at the Thebby there are no bad seats. It's an old school theatre designed for a time before digital and amps. You can hear and see everything. I don't like the lack of air con, poor crowd management, and signs like this. So I feel mixed. But it's also not like you really get a huge venue choice when awesome acts come to town; I just think it's time for an update, and a PR person.
Historic old theatre with plenty of character. Lovely ornate ceilings. A slightly different experience to those theatres with modern day creature comforts.
Rob Brydon tonight, consummate performer, good mix of comedy, interaction with audience, local knowledge, impersonations AND music.what a great night, also love Thebarton venue. Have watched WILTY since Rob was host, and he was his brilliant self.
