The Old Croissant Factory reviews
34During the New Year period in South Australia, all bakeries were closed, but fortunately, we stumbled upon this open gem, making it my first pastry of the year. After five pastry-free days, we visited this delightful cafe with a cozy ambiance. The small size adds to its charm, and the visible pastry chefs bring a unique touch to the experience, showcasing their dedication to their craft. The croissants, a true work of art, boast numerous layers – attached is a photo highlighting their golden, flaky perfection. We tried the blueberry almond croissant, surprisingly devoid of frangipane in the center, featuring a delightful semi-chewy, delicately hardened syrup on top. The menu included pain au choc and other pastry goddess, and the avocado pairing with the croissant was a standout. While the coffee is strong, catering to those who enjoy robust flavors, it was a bit too intense for my taste. Nonetheless, the top-notch service and meticulous attention to detail make this cafe a must-visit for anyone who appreciates heavenly pastries.
Very happy to see old-fashioned service, along with serene ambience. First time here and will become a regular as so many savoury and sweet pastries to choose from. The taste of each item chosen today was divine. Recommend to all A+
The croissant lacked butter, so was a little dry. There is no pricing displayed on the counter or at the till, so make sure you ask the price of what you're paying for. I was a little taken aback at the pricing. The usual amount paid for a plain croissant in my experience is around $4, so $6 for a mediocre one was a little surprising. There is also a small quiche without much filling that I found quite salty for $11.50 (!) I wouldn't recommend this place. For pastries, Les Deux Coqs is much better and reasonably priced.
Had a nice breakfast with the matcha latte and a chocolate dessert pastry~ the latte art was so cute i requested a totoro design and they did not disappoint i sat outside and the location of the cafe allowed for a nice calming atmosphere with little road noise.the pastry was very tasty, i loved how crumbly it was.the matcha latte as well as being cute was also yum! I loved how they had extra milk and sugar on the side for your preference! And they also said you could request for more milk if necessary~~ the workers were very nice and accommodating as well wiuld definitely recommend for the latte art it’s the best i’ve seen in adelaide!
The best croissants I've ever tasted in Australia (so far). Absolutely perfect pastries with very good fillings. Highly recommended.
Edit: still a great place but The Sugarman up the road is even better
Amazing quality croissants and danish selection! So many unique flavours to choose from. You have to go in early because many are sold out early. Staff and customer service are so friendly too!
The chicken curry pie here is glorious as is their pastry -any/all of it! Coffee is great and the staff are so lovely
Wow is all I can say! Amazing pastries and great friendly service. It was hard to decide what to choose as everything looked delicious:) we had 3 different pastries and all were sublime. On my next visit to Adelaide I will be back for sure️
A MUST VISIT if you’re into flaky and crispy croissants! We ordered a bunch of sweet and savoury ones and they were like explosions in our mouths. The Confit Duck Pie was next level (ask them to heat it up for you!), the Almond Croissants, Chocolate Croissants and etc were all delicious! They are all made at the place itself so you can guarantee freshness all day everyday. So thankful we came across this place. Definitely deserves more than 5-Star.

Cheese + garlic Danish and the confit duck pie were really delicious. They had quite a few unique pastries, more so than what is in offer at other bakeries I’ve found since moving here recently. Would definitely recommend.
I’ve tried many Almond croissants in Adelaide and this shop’s Almond croissant is by far, the best in Adelaide! I go there for breakfast every Saturday morning ever since I’ve discovered this shop! I love almost every croissant (except their white chocolate matcha croissant which is too sweet for me) they bake. Flaky, buttery and aromatic! You could smell them within a few metres from their shop.
There’s no menu or price list displayed anywhere at the cashier, so you have to ask for the price of the croissants or pastries.
Oh, not to mention, I love their matcha latte too! I could tell they use authentic matcha powder in this drink.
Own of the best croissants out there. Oh did I mention that their coffee is amazing too. IMHO this croissant shop can easily rival Lune in Melbourne.
Delicious! Fantastic service. Amazing food and coffee. Can't wait to go again to try something new next time.

Fantastic food and coffee! Lovely staff and owner (probably). Get in early or there might be disappointment.
The Confit Duck Pie is so yummy. The pastry is so flaky and melts in your mouth. Stephanie, the girl that served me was very polite and nice.
The BEST croissants and pastries! So many different pastries to choose from, all with melt-in-your-mouth pastry. Lovely, friendly service every time. Our go-to patisserie for any special occasions and special treats.
Heaven is a croissant from The Old Croissant Factory. Beautiful customer service and croissants = a match made in heaven.
