The Meat & Wine Co Adelaide CBD

Atmosphere was dulled down by how close the tables of 2 were next to each other. Tables are literally an arms length away from each other leaving little privacy. If you have 4+ in your group, a centre table that resembles a hut would be very nice. Would recommend requesting a more private table.
Food:
We ordered the 500g wagyu with onion rings. Wagyu was quite tough & chewy and left us disappointed as hopes were high seeing this place specialised in meat. Crispy onion rings were frizzled and really crispy but very heavy.
Chicken! It was amazing moist and flavour full. Unexpectedly this was such a favourite. Don’t usually order chicken breast when we dine out as a lot of place overcook & dry out the chicken but def recommending ordering the chicken here!

Was meant to be going here for our staff Christmas lunch, we had made a booking and was not informed that they are not open for lunch anymore. Very disappointing, no communication and now left without a venue.

Skinny steaks. Waiters too busy. What is a “fillet steak”? Waiter didn’t know either. 25 minutes to get a drink.

Such an awesome experience. Always come here for special occasions & each time I am blown away by the service and food. Food is out of this world & waiters/waitresses are so attentive & friendly. 10/10 absolutely would recommend!

Very nice food. Great service but hard to get the attention of wait staff once they were really busy. We were also talked into a very good value deal but I didn’t know the fillet we were getting wasn’t the original expensive one I wanted but a much cheaper cut. Still, great value for what we got. The bruschetta was tasty but very overpriced and the Mac and cheese was delicious but perhaps a bit runnier than I prefer. They also gave my toddler her own plastic place setting which was adorable and came by to pick up and replace her things every time they ended up on the floor. Colouring activity set also given which kept her busy and helped us have a really nice night. Strawberry smash cocktail was bland. I would probably return but perhaps make sure I definitely order the higher marbling next time so it lives up the the reputation of a great steak house in my head.

Wow! What a restaurant! A beautifully set up venue with extremely patient and pleasant staff but the food, the food is what puts this place on the map!

My daughter and boyfriend ate there Sat night 11th.
Although they enjoyed their meal their dining experience was soured by someone taking her treasured rings she inadvertently took off in ladies.
Please if anyone has them please return them.
They have a huge meaning for her

Simply Adelaide's best steakhouse. We have been fortunate enough now to dine at Meat & Wine Co.a couple of times. I thought the first time I was struck by lightning, thinking there must have been a glitch in the Matrix that the meat was that good, but low and behold, the second time was absolutely as good. I had the 500gm Wagyu Rump, and while I'm not usually a Rump man, this steak is ridiculous. If you are a full blooded carnivore, you haven't had a steak in Adelaide til you've eaten at Meat & Wine Co.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 3 course menu, the atmosphere and the service. We particularly enjoyed the calamari and the steak tagliata. The Birthday message on my partner's dessert was a lovely touch. Will definitely return, thank you.

Our waiter was awesome, food was great and the kids enjoyed the interaction with the staff. The ambiance was also excellent. Would highly recommend.

Wow, what an awesome meal for my daughter's birthday lunch. She loved it so much. We were all very impressed with the quality of the food, the ambience of the restaurant and the attendance of staff. We all went with skewers, and between us we covered the chicken, lamb and beef. All were very flavoursome, the lamb was exceptional. Very impressed, we will definitely be back for my birthday.

1st time here and had a great experience. Service was quick & friendly. Food delicious, loved the Scallop dish and my Steak was perfect

Fresh and tasty food. They have open kitchen so people can see how they cook food.
Service great, we have a waiter looked after us very well. He recommended few dishes to us and explain all ingredients.
Highly recommended and we definitely will go back.

The place looks amazing, the entrees tasted delicious and the meat was cooked to perfection! Our waitress provided us with exceptional service and was very attentive. Thank you for a great night!

Ribs were fantastic but the service wasn't. When eating ribs I expect something to clean my hands like a pre packed alcohol style wipe. That didn't happen. The African spicy sauce was bad. The ribs. I would have any day of the week though.

A great experience overall, friendly staff, tasty food - food waited in the kitchen for too long, merely warm when served. A bit of a delay for food come but thats okay they were quite busy.

Great decor. Great hospitality and excellent staff who understand the menu. Superb selection of steaks, prime rib and other succulent meats to suit all taste buds.
My only gripe and a very small one is. Greek Salad (authentic) is made up of cucumber, tomatoes, green or red pepper, kalamata olives, red onion with olive oil, black pepper, oregano and most importantly a small slab (10cm x 5cm x 2cm) of pure fetta. Greek salad DOES NOT have green lettuce of any kind in it. What we ate last night was not a Greek salad as per the menu.

This place is fantastic! Came here for my birthday lunch today and the food was delicious - every single course! Wagyu steak cooked to perfection, fantastic chips and an insanely good creme brulee! I had a party of 15 and all of our food came out on time, the staff were so accommodating (and patient and timely in replying to my numerous emails as I kept forgetting to ask a question) and a special shout out goes to Thomas! Not only was he fully aware of who ordered what and was super organised, he was a great photographer and took our group photo! Absolute MVP.

This is probably the best steak we’ve ever had. Went there yesterday for my birthday. Totally worth it!
