The Gums reviews
35Beautifully kept park with wide grassed areas, a fenced playground, ample shade and BBQ facilities. A wonderful place to spend the afternoon.
A well used park, by groups young and old. Adequate space to ensure social distancing.
Lots of open space, sheltered areas with concrete floor, table and bench seats.
Good sized electric BBQ available.
Majestic, large old gums add grace, beauty and shade to the beautifully mowed grassed area.
Enclosed children's play ground, safety gates, with modern play equipment and soft fall materials, i.e wood chip and other for safety.
Modern public loo.
Easy access through in and out driveway.
Car parking is of a good size, sealed and marked parking bays. Basketball hoop, and well laid out paths.
Bins strategically placed, well maintained areas.
A friend and I have been socially distancing there during the restrictions. A lovely, peaceful park.
I really enjoyed this park with the big beautiful gum trees and lots of bird life. Was so happy to hear a kookaburra in the suburbs!
Great family park with something for everyone from a playground to an exercise area to picnic areas and a gazebo.
Great family park. But the council may consider to do some landscaping and add more facilities.
Saw a kookaburra and a koala today at The Gums, not to mention a swag of native bird species, right in the middle of suburbia.
Lovely little park. Plenty of space for the little ones to run around, couple parks that aren't too bad if your fussy about your car. Exit/entrance on the left hand side (if you are facing the road) is a bit rough for low cars, would be great if council smoothed this out. Also a self cleaning toilet on-site with a couple of nice table /chair, S, dog water bowl, fountain, and a fully enclosed playground.
Great place for large social gathering. Bring your comfortable chairs, rugs, tables for the food. Ask everyone to bring a plate of food to share. Cook a bbq. Delightful environment amongst the gum trees and away from the busy roads of adelaide.xxx
Lovely camping experience, many animals around, extremly friendly staff, and delicious breakfast at the resort! Couldn’t recommend enough
There is a car park on Shakespeare Avenue and street parking on Tennyson Avenue. Toilet facilities available closer to the car park. BBQ, and 2x undercover entertainment areas. I have seen people erect a camping tent and spend the whole day in the reserve.
Pleasant park with shade from the towering gums, barbecue facilities, picnic tables and benches and a fenced in playground for children. Also a small exercise area for adults and an automated toilet which is quite interesting.
Great large park with plenty of shade, beautiful trees, picnic tables, barbecue, toilet, big playground and car park. Limited tables for parties so bring your own tables to go where you want. Safe for kids to run around because there us no street at proximity.
Great reserve for groups and familys. Lots of space and several locations with seats and tables. The playground is suitable for all ages. There are rubbish bins located in several locations so there's always one not too far away. Lots of trees to provide shade as well.
The Gums is hidden away in the leafy suburb of tranmere. Great place to take a walk and meditate. Has a creek running through part of it and on the other side has a children's play area. On this occasion I was with a friend and walking a dog.
