The Boulevard Cafe on the lake reviews
50Very popular place for a coffee and cake, a chat or a full meal. Good value with very friendly, courteous staff who don't mess about and make sure that orders are filled in a timely manner.
Brilliant breakfast. Staff are very accommodating with menu changes and the food is very tasty. I highly recommend this establishment. The owner, Lisa, is involved in charitable activities assisting the local community and providing assistance to many organisations. She has done this with very limited government assistance, sometimes detrimental to her own wellbeing. Everyone in the area should get behind this wonderful venture.
The Lamb fry was delicious, well seasoned, but the beef Madras curry the meat could have cooked bit longer and more sauce, bit more salt, basmati rice will go better with the curry, for garnish could use coriander/chopped parsley instead of parsley stem and leaves. Overall nice place to visit.
Only had take away coffees, but didn't disappoint. Well priced, good milk, good flavour. Staff are welcoming and friendly
We attended a fundraiser Friday evening. Fabulous event with wonderful food, service, & staff.
Couldn't fault a thing, the parking was easy & well lit & the genuine care factor for their customers was exceptional
Being very near to an artificial lake, the restaurant is spacious with reasonable decor. However, the food itself is of an average standard. Though most of them are well cooked, the scrambled eggs is fairly poor and the coffee a bit cold. Regardless, it is still mostly a decent experience, and the service is courteous.
Thankyou Boulevard for a lovely meal at your cafe today. My wife and our friend had lambs fry presented with a modern twist of onion rings. I had fish, (Gumby shark) chips and a salad. The ladies had a sweet of bread pudding and raspberry coullis. We will be back before we go home!
Great coffee, great service, gave for stars because of the fact we went for a pre-booked coffee and cake morning. Then find out there was only enough cake for 1 person
I ENJOY A POT OF TEA.
THE STAFF ARE VERY ATTENTIVE, POLITE AND THE CAF'E VERY CLEAN INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.
Absolutely smashing. Walked out feeling full and ready to go for the day. Without a doubt a must to visit. You won’t be disappointed
Ordinary, no smile and greeting by staff. Slow and confused. I wanted hot chips at midday but was told they weren't ready as cooker has only been turned on?
Pancakes with nutella was served with great amount of everything, however all meals were received were cold.
Looking a bit tired but adhering well to social distancing rules. Very pleasant staff taking time with each individual customer.
Amazing food. Reasonable wait time for full meals. Fish was well crumbed and cooked, steak sandwich was not tough and kids meals were well portioned. Will definitely visit again!
It doesn’t matter whether you’re retired friends getting coffee or a family with a toddler getting breakfast, this place has you covered. And directly opposite a great park on the lake with a beach - if the weather is warm, make sure the kids bring their swimmers. Don’t expect “modern urban” breakfast trends, but the menu is good, ranging from fruit salad and yoghurt, through standard bacon & eggs to corn fritters with eggs & avocado. And pancakes.
They have a corner set aside with toys for toddlers, with enough in it for us to have time to eat our breakfast in peace. Heaven!
Well worth the visit.
Best place in Encounter Bay and Victor Harbour. Great prices and great food. Staff always attentive and friendly. Visit often love it.
They opened in the evening for a Private Christmas Dinner for Victor Ukulele Group and
put on a 3 course meal. Beautifully presented gourmet food, catering for all tastes, including vegan and gluten intollerant. Friendly staff made every effort to accommodate all requests. Thankyou for making our Christmas Show a fantastic evening.
Great spot for coffee and catch up any day but a pleasant sunny day adds to the enjoyment at this lakeside ripper.
Great food. Pretty fast for the amount of people. And has a loyalty card for 10 coffees get 1 free
Always enjoy my time here whether for coffee and cake or a meal. Wonderful service and great food.
