I would highly recommend the Boatshed Wallaroo. Absolutely delicious food, great service and a separate kitchen space for all gluten free dishes, which is greatly appreciated as someone with coeliac disease. A must visit place in Wallaroo.

Best fish & chips I've had in a long time!
Calamari was perfect, not stringy or chewy. Fish and chips not oily.
Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our dinner tonight!

Wonderful place to have fish and chips and gluten free as well, they were delicious and have to be one of the best we have had for ages. Nice spot also to have a bite and sit near water, close to jetty.

The Boat Shed Cafe at Wallaroo. I would without a doubt say that the Gluten Free battered fish, prawns and squid rings to be the best I have tested. Their GF snitzel is equally as good. All served with a garden fresh salad. The salad is fresh and the flavour is great.
The service is without question very accommodating and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. I have no hesitation in promoting this business. The prices are very reasonable and is always value for money. If you want good food this is the place to go. Well done.

Food is usually pretty good here, the chips are more often than not above average, crispy and tasty. Fish has been a bit hit and miss, sometimes no King George Whiting, although $9.50/PC feels pretty expensive. Generally staff quite helpful, sometimes odd hours even for a restaurant/takeaway. We ate in once and was a pleasant experience, we were the only ones so felt a little odd and quite, but did allow us to make as much noise as we liked and the sit in meal was well prepared and everyone enjoyed.

What a delight for a coeliac. We had lunch for my grandsons 6th birthday here. Four adults and four kids. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Two coeliacs in the group. I ordered battered fisherman’s basket gluten free. Amazing, light crisp batter on the fish, prawns and calamari. Kids meals were served in cardboard boxes that looked like boats, kids were very impressed with this. Small plates were also provided to help them eat their meals. Everyone enjoyed their meals which were served promptly and very freshly cooked. It was lovely sitting looking at the sea while eating a very enjoyable meal. Thank you for providing a coeliac friendly place to eat. First time I have been able to have fish and chips for years. Most people don’t know how hard it is to be able to eat out and get true gluten free meals. Will come back next time we are in Wallaroo

We had lunch here today, Sunday. Beautiful spot. Lovely view. I was so looking forward to eating here because of previous good reviews.
Service was speedy. We ordered the special, fish and chips. Unfortunately the batter could have been a little crisper and the chips weren’t hot, although they were good chips. The fish itself was tasty. Was it butterfish? Could have been.
The “salad” was very uninspiring. A bit of lettuce, a few tiny pieces of tomato and cucumber and a lot of red onion but NO DRESSING! Not really a salad. More a garnish.
A couple of things happened when my husband was ordering which led me to believe that maybe the staff that were on were a bit inexperienced.
We’ll try again next time we’re in Wallaroo. Hopefully we’ll have a better experience. It wasn’t bad, just not great! I guess for the price of $15 it was ok.
I was going to score it 3 and thought that was probably a bit mean so gave it 4. If there had been some dressing on the salad, I might have been happier.

Unfortunately I had a shocking meal. Schnitzel chips and gravy. It was a delivery order. I ordered and paid at the cafe to be delivered. Ok after a few questions asked the girl serving didn’t know answers, I’m from Pt Augusta I don’t know. Love you should know what you’re selling. Schnitzel was delivered in a foam container, the snitty was slapped on the chips in one piece. It’s not hard to slice up. The chips! When was the last time the fat/oil changed. The gravy I asked for on the side and it was. It was in a T/a container that had leaked everywhere. All in all an unpleasant experience. It is absolutely nothing like the pictures you advertise on the website. A change of staff, attitude and food handling practices are in order before you lose what customer base you do have

We had a family meal at the Boatshed a cpuple of nights ago and the meal was lovely. My daughter is celiac and can't eat anything with gluten in it and my wife is also gluten intolerant the Boatshed het a complete separate gluten free kitchen so my daughter can have things we all take for granted like a crumbed fisherman's basket that's gluten free. All the other meals were great as well and the salad didn't have dressing on it which is great I don't like dressings thanks Bec and the team for making our night special

My family and I went here for tea. I had lamb shanks with mash potato, and my wife had a chicken schnitzel with garlic sauce and chips and let's just say we left most of it on the plates. The lamb shank had no flavour, mash potato taste like it was a pre made out of the freezer and the chips were soft and tasted old. Very disappointing as it's a great location.

Complained about the quality of the pizza we got, as it was very expensive and took a long time to receive.was just hoping for a quick fix.accused my family of LYING about it and then abusing my stepmum over the phone.very unprofessional and disgusting behaviour from the staff at this place
