Thalassa Park reviews
49Great little nature playground in a beautiful setting. They have a story book walk with sculptures of characters from famous kids books but the play equipment is not that ideal for kids under 3 as the ladder rings are spaced so far apart as are the slippery dip could be a bit scary for some 2 year olds plus it’s too high to climb safely for toddlers. Highly recommend it for the bigger kids up to 13 yrs
The replacement playground is terrible. There is now only one swing.a metal slide which will be great for burns in summer.bluestone everywhere, great for stitches.a crappy bird playground.who ever approved this needs to be sacked so disappointing
Has had a lovely facelift recently. This park is aesthetically amazing, the play equipment and play space caters for all ages, the whole family. There are toilets in an easy accessible spot near park, ample sections of car parking around the park.
Set in a luscious area, there is plenty of trees to provide shaded areas around the play area. Several bbq facilities and sheltered seating areas around the playground.
Dog park also nearby and a beautifully maintained garden adjacent grounds.
Splendid just splendid.bring the kids down have a laugh, bitta back yard cricket, just far too many nangs lying about.
Stunning views, playground, and a beautiful formal garden at the top of the hill. Lots of trees with a choice of paths to follow including a storybook walk for the kids
Easter good Friday, took a portable BBQ and had family get together. Park has lawn areas, playground and walking trails l clean toilets and is locked after dark
Great for puppy dog walking, family bbqs and has a play ground for the kids as well as a beautiful rose garden
Very nice park with toilets, nice walks and a renovated playground. A bit better for older toddlers and older children.
Thalassa park is in reality at least a 4 star park. It's a big beautiful park great for a picnic, dog walk, bike ride etc.
But I had to write about the 'upgrade' to the playground. The old playground was ripped down and replaced with a new one. What a downgrade! It looks great, but there is far, far less to do. After a few minutes my toddler and I were relegated to making up a game with barkchips and a long sitting bench. The playground consists of:
-one tyre swing - no other swings of any sort
-one elevated platform with a small slippery dip, ladder, net, climbable bits etc
-one big slippery dip
-one wooden climbing frame
-a few little animals on springs for kids to rock on.
All good stuff but that's it. Can't believe how this was signed off.
