Thalassa Park reviews
49 Beautiful grounds, well appointed for a family outing or gathering.
The playground is good for toddlers up to lower primary age, and has covered picnic areas, benches, toilets and drink fountain nearby. It is not fenced, but doesn't really need it as it is far away from roads, and downhill from the car parking areas.
There are several picnic spots with barbecues, both by the playground and along the trails. Most have shelters.
The large reserve is lovely to explore, and accessible for prams and wheelchairs via walking trails. There are gardens to explore, and the storybook trail is nice to wander through. Also, plenty of room to kick a ball. The flowers in spring and leaves in autumn are beautiful.
Free. The Story Book sculptures are amazing. The playground entertains children. There are BBQs available for use. Clean toilets. The flower gardens are delightful.
2nd time here for a family gender reveal.love this park just needed bit better weather but overall everything was enjoyed 10/10
A really nice community facility. However. Not nearly enough car parking. We were there today 10 Dec 22, for a kids Christmas party. There were two other groups of people holding gatherings and people had to park on Windebanks Rd and walk in carrying their goodies. All well and good to develop the park infrastructure, how about adequate parking for people to use the facility.
Absolutely beautiful park with gardens pretty enough to have wedding photos done in, a lovely playground for younger kids, room to kick the footy, trees to climb, a few BBQ's around the place a lovely book walk with statues and information about book characters and most importantly there are toilets.
A brilliant place to spend the afternoon exploring and enjoying.
Nice for Picnic and Bbq.
A small playground is good enough to keep kids entertained.
This can be made a lot better.
Come on cityofonkaparinga learn from st. Kilda
Great playground with spaces for bigger and littler kids. The storybook walk is nice too. Bbq facilities, toilets, water stations and nice gardens.
Great spot for an outdoor party or bbq. Facilities and playground available for the younger folks as well as room to run around. Parking available and shady trees.
Love the open playground and the newly renovated paths. Can't wait for the new storybook to be unveiled on storybook walk
Local park which caters for public and local school children alike. Well maintained and our young grand daughter enjoyed herself.she may have been a bit too young for most of the activities though. 3yo
The slides are hot because they are metal and the park isn't as great as when I was a kid but it's big and beautiful with lots of running and walking space. Story book walk even has grug which is great
Great place to bring the kids and relax with a awesome surroundings, views and picturesque scenery.
Absolutely nothing compared to what it used to be despite the big$$$$ spent. My youngest loves the story book trail though and the gardens and trees are lovely
Love this park. Beautiful surroundings with a flower garden on the way. Nice spot for a picnic. Dog friendly (on lead) park, playground for kids, walking tracks and toilet facilities available.
Beautiful Park with amazing views down to the sea - plenty of lawns, shelters, trees & birds. Great young children's playground & story book walk.
Nice Park with both natural and man-made style equipment. Range of tables and BBQs. Gates that lock at set the each day.
Kids enjoyed the playground and playing games on the lawn. Easy to park and lovely views. Fun had by all.
My local. Good open space, steep tracks to walk or run. Playground good. Story book walk is cool. Creek very pretty.
Beautifully discovery while walking around my neighbour hood along a walking trail bushland Birdlife then I came across a garden area which I thought was a playground It turned into a park with beautiful plants in a lovely setting quite established overlooking Onkaparinga area and the plains of Adelaide more info to come
Had a lovely get together here. Easy parking. Good facilities. Quite shady and toilets and bins handy. Would recommend. Good play areas for the littles. A pleasant day was enjoyed by all
