Taste of the Himalayas reviews
52Wow, what a gem. Friendly greeting on arrival, attentive service and great food. Recommend the banquet meal, tried the buffalo - beautiful, also tried their Nepalese beer "Nepal Ice", nice tasting beer. Will definitely be back.
Been a couple of times now, service is always very polite, meal was delicious but a little bit on the smaller side. I also enjoy having a couple of Himalayan beers on the menu
Very good food and friendly service. Quiet and well laid out. Good atmosphere. We have dined here a few times and enjoyed it every time.
Visited for the first time this week. A good turnout for a Wednesday night. Friendly, polite staff, quiet, nice ambience and decor. Unbelievably good food! Recommend the Himalayan Guliyo Roti stuffed with coconut, sultanas and cream paste. Disappointed they don't offer filtered water. Reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.
Easily my favourite restaurant in Adelaide. The food is amazing. Personalised service and lovely surroundings.
Service was outstanding. Starter and main course were amazing. Dessert menu needs some love, just frozen desserts, out of a box.
Great food friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. Make sure you book if you want to make sure of a table. Small point. You may have to wait if you have booked for the buffet you. On my last visit we booked a table for 18.00. The buffet wasn't ready and only came out at 18.30. However the diners were called forward by table so it avoided a scramble to get food.
Over all a very good experience worth a try.
Very pleasant restaurant -attentive and welcoming staff, food excellent, and reasonable prices
(Barramundi superb!)
30 minutes to bring out entrees and then they were wrong. Buffet was generally okay, but fairly bland on flavors. Casual dining and staff with a casual attitude to service.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Nepalese dishes and banquet during my visit on Sunday. The restaurant is decorated in traditional Nepalese design. The buffet was simple, with a few dishes, including the traditional vegetable, however it was delicious and well presented and represented value for money. The service was outstanding.
Good clean lean food. Place is not a top shelf but OK for Dinner with family. Looks like it needs a good decorator.
