Swedish Tarts reviews
56Had a decent takeaway coffee here today. Price was reasonable, shot of caramel was apparent (compared to other places where they just put a drizzle of caramel), only down-marked one star because the coffee was a *little* bit burnt. The caramel flavour mostly made up for it though and it still did the job. Service was fabulous! Didn't really take in the atmosphere or food, but from what I can remember it seemed "bustling". Coffee smell wafted from the open window which is what made me walk back to get one - bonus points for that genius idea!
Nice spot with good coffee. I'm embarrassingly a decaf drinker and sometimes struggle to find one that meets my standards so was very impressed.
Great little cafe just a couple of hundred metres from the beach.
The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food and coffee are excellent.
Yum! Great, kind service. Delicious food. We ordered off the specials board and even got take away cake. Highly recommended and will definitely go again.
The friendly staff sets this store aside from the others. Cool ambiance, good selection of tarts, salads, breakfasts and meals. The Lemon crepes are a favourite in our family. Coffee is ok.
Breakfast brunch Birthday outing by my Fam for my Bday. Company was great, food was excellent, service was shot on and location was Semaphore. I would recommend this place when on the busiest of times
Shop was busy, late in afternoon.last table left we took. Was welcomed in very enthusiasticly by a busy server. Prob a busy day by time we arrived the paper menus had been man handled a hundred times over very well used and mauled. Table number given was dirty as and table so greasy. Sitting waiting for food looking around the shop is pretty dirty. Iced Drinks came to our table super fast and big and amazing and served again by another super happy server. Sat near kitchen and busy staff in and and out of the kitchen squeaky swinging doors that really need a good wipe over and change of colour. Lots of greasy fluff around edges of door way and hinges. Food came out served again by third server who was lovely big smiles.value for money plates of food a big serve and tasty. Looking from our table can see behind the counter which looked a shambles and greasy, microwave looked shocking, crumby area - nothing was getting wiped down even occasionally. Splash back greasy as. However We ordered cakes and coffees and they came again by a different happy person. Every cake was delicious reccomend the lime and coconut cake massive generous portion. Coffee beautiful. Service in this shop was great. Atmosphere was great. If the cleaning standard was lifted deserves 5 stars. I think if all the staff spent 30 mins each with a bucket of hot soapy water and went from top to bottom of the shop the place would shine. There’s fly droppings on speakers and webs on lights, dirty edges and ledges dusty and mostly under the counter near front window hate to say but so dusty and filthy looking for a food venue. Scared to think of back of house. Bottom of tables dirty - place just needs a good wash. I really want to give the shop 5 stars it deserves it on price, quality and service. Will Defi come back. In its defence it was the only busy shop in the entire street. Even on leaving we were thanked and hope we enjoyed our meals.
Bit silly to advertise you’re open until 5PM when your kitchen is actually closed & all you can get is coffee & cake really.would the extra 2 hours of keeping the kitchen open hurt since you guys aren’t open nights as well? Hours are a bit silly hopefully over the summer they change
Great food. The vegetarian quiche is lovely as is the vegan lentil pie. Lovely coffee. Friendly service.
I have been to Swedish Tarts 4 times now in last 3 weeks. I have been to many venues and this has been one of the best. The food is great.the coffee is exceptional and the staff r amazing. Keep the good work up.
Absolutely love this place all the food is made on premises or at there bakery in Pt Adelaide.
Highly recommend the coffee and there new Vegan Burger is to die for 10/10
If you are looking for a quality coffee in a feel good environment on a sunday in Semaphore then Swedish Tarts will scratch that itch. We arrived 3pm and it was still lively. Very impressive deconstructed long black decaf. Skinny cap rated 4/5 by my tough yet honest critic companion. Even the Cops get coffee here.
Fantastic coffee, matched with welcoming and friendly service, in a trendy set up in a great location. Road side parking is available, directly opposite this location. Has an interesting menu, including a wide selection of cakes/ tarts, to suit the varied taste preferences.
Usually we quite like it here, but we were very disappointed this time around. The house made crumpets were cold and seemed like they’d been cooked a day ago and the smashed avocado dish had cold toast and avo that was straight out of the fridge. Coffee was ok and front of house service was good. We hope this place picks up the game and returns to it’s former quality.
Nice almond tart and iced coffee. Staff might need retraining around how to be helpful and hospitable to customers.
