Swedish Tarts

Terrible customer service today by young woman. Walked into store 2: 30pm Sat 20 Jan looking for a takeaway juice so I asked for a menu. Without any hesitation was told ‘kitchen is closed’. I replied are you still serving drinks’ and reply was ‘yes, I guess you could sit outside’. I replied I was after a takeaway and she gestured towards wall menu. After waiting for 2 minutes to order in addition to her walking past several times I left. Very disappointing.

A real Swedish experience.
Corn fritters with chorizo were outstanding, the service is quick and friendly.
Congratulations to the chef for the wonderful piece of Swedish art, we will come back for sure to feel the Swedish breeze while wandering on a Vasa in Semaphore.

Despite specifically ordering 2 coffees "to have here in cups please" I was served two coffees in paper takeaway holders. When I asked for cups I was told "after a certain time we don't have a DISHY so we don't use cups. " If I had been told that when ordering I would have crossed the road to COPENHAGENS where you get what you order. Should be NO gold stars, very disappointed.

Great coffee, flatbread was tasty but cold apart from the poached eggs that were just warm. Would go again but not get the flatbread.

Usually all the Latte’s are the same for me, just a good coffee to start my day, but I just tried the coffee latte here and it was amazing! It was so creamy and rich, highly recommend!

This would have to be the worst breakfast we have ever been served. Eggs bene, over cooked eggs, over cooked bacon. My partner had spinach and it was gritty, over cooked ham. Both serves were very poor. Coffee was also very bitter and almost undrinkable. The light shade above our head was covered in dust and fluff, as were all the light shades in the dining room. Will not be back.

Worst service in South Australia. Studied at the "ignore the customers to cut down your workload" school. Several times have alked away, will never return.

Terrible service. Can't keep track of orders. Staff confused and tripping over each other. Can't even get a milkshake or juice when the kitchen is closed. Literally coffees only.

Went in today (Wednesday 25th Jan) on a bit of a whim as I had never been before. First impressions not great, not many people were there, tables outside dirty and the music was quite loud and inappropriate. Could only order a coffee as sign stipulated kitchen closed and food/ cakes in the front window not appealing at all! I order from a young server who wasn’t overly friendly and automatically said “that’s take away right” as if we were a bother or nuisance to her if we decided to sit down and take some time out from a busy day. Feeling uncomfortable I say yes and sit down to wait! Other lady with very short hair makes my coffee after stuffing around and hands me my order & off we go! Considering there is an abundance of beautiful eateries offering the same products it’s astonishing to receive such a mediocre welcoming, poor service overall and average Coffee that wasn’t anything special is very disappointing!
I won’t go back in a hurry if at all nor recommend!

Have always wanted to try. Today on a whim dropped by and got some tarts to take away. Rhubarb and marzipan, Raspberry and coconut and chocolate brownie. Heavenly - shared the 3 with my dear friend at home washed down with strong German coffee. Can't wait to try more!

It is very rare experience in Adelaide I have, that is Swedish food. The food is very lovely and tasty, the staff are very nice and helpful, the atmosphere and location is just perfect as it is very close to the beach. Very recommend for local or tourist to come here and try the food and service here.

Yeah the Flatbread Breakfast nearly did me in. Great breakfast, really enjoyed it, but I may not eat for a week. Good coffee, staff were friendly and efficient.

Nice coffee is a little weak for my taste.
Welcoming busy cafe, wish I'd had time for the food as it looked good.

Very good svenk store in Adelaide wanted to go here day dot to try my authentic cultural food and I was not disappointed.

Loved the jalapeno mushroom omelette. My wife had the bacon flatbread and loved it too. Great beach atmosphere, warm friendly service. See video for Lily's opinion ("That was delicious! ")

Such a good experience, customer service on point & coffee is second to none. The breakfast flatbread was delicious! Enough food for two people

We arrived a little later so the kitchen was closed. We chose from the food cabinet and I grabbed a mushroom quiche and a long black. The mushroom quiche was dense, rubbery, had a million olives in it and seemingly one piece of mushroom. The coffee was bitter and very average.

Good coffe, tasty tart and delicious leek and mushroom pie. Warm and cosy atmosphere with friendly staff.

Came in with my mum who’s from interstate and has never been before. Her lunch was served and she was confused because it didn’t look like what she asked for but thought maybe they dressed it up a bit. After a second she got up to enquire if it was in fact what she ordered and it turns out they had placed the wrong sign in front of what she wanted and we’re quite rude in telling her that. The original server brought over what she did want and was incredibly rude to my mum and acted as if she was in the wrong because she didn’t mention it as soon as it was placed on the table because she was in shock. Doesn’t sound like much but the attitude and what was said to my mum and tone of this server was not acceptable especially to an older customer who was never rude or kicked up a fuss. Considering I don’t get to see my mum much this left a very sour taste in my mouth for how she was treated.
