Oh mygoodness. I recommend this to anybody looking for some delicious butter chicken! This is my favourite Indian restaurants - I have tried others and they do not compare.

Very Rude, Disrespectful and non serious Owner, our Veg Biryani had a METAL STAPLER PIN AND HAIR in it and We told him about it, I was shocked by his answer. He said, ”I don’t care, Do what you want. Will not provide any refund. ” And abused us & made Racist comments on us.
Whereas It was a SERIOUS HEALTH HAZARD. If someone would have swallowed the metal pin, the person would be DEAD in Minutes.
I HIGHLY SUGGEST THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU GO IN SUCH A PLACE WHERE THEY DON’T CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS HEALTH AND WELL-BEING.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant Surya Indian Cuisine. The service is amazing, The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing, everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best Indian food we had in Modbury. Highly recommend!

We have been eating Surya Indian's food now for a few months now and we love their curries. All 3 of their meats, the lamb, beef and chicken are so tender and the curries are so tasty. We also love their Mango Lassi drink, it is the best one we have ever had and we have tried a lot. Out of all the Indian restaurants we have eaten from, Surya have the most tender meat and it is always consistently tender. So many other Indian restaurants cant seem to cook their meat right, with it being tough, but not Surya, they always have perfectly cooked tender meat. We highly recommend Surya and will continue enjoying their curries for years to come:)

Definitely my new favourite Indian place! Plenty of flavour, plenty of food and great value. It was my first time tonight but I can't wait to try more things on the menu! Friendly staff and very prompt too!

First time customer, for a takeaway for an iso birthday. Large order and food ready on time. All the food was delicious! Particularly the chicken biryani & lamb madras were superb. Large portions with plenty of very nicely cooked meat. Will certainly be coming back!

I feel like I've tried their entire menu and everything is delicious! The only flaw is I wanted to order dinner tonight and you are closed on wednesdays!

"There was a lot of sauce" is probably the best thing I can say about our delivery tonight. The beef korma was way too spicy for a korma, which completely negated the actual subtle flavours you'd usually expect, and the 7 (I counted) 1-1.5cm cubes of meat were very dry. The chicken vindaloo had no taste but HOT and was also very light on meat (6-8 small pieces). The naan was very oily and the biryani was glop. Overall, a very disappointing meal. We won't be back or recommending.

You'll see these guys get a lot of good reviews and they deserve it. Good consistent food and nice staff. We always get takeaway from here but we have eaten at the restaurant and it's a nice cosy (usually quiet place) to have a good meal.

One of the better Indian restaurant/take aways in the TTG area. The food always tastes fresh, aromatic and the meat is lean. The serve sizes are generous and prices affordable. Recommended!

Ordered online and advised it would be delivered in 1 hour and received a confirmation email. After 90 mins we called to enquire and they first said they didn't have the order and then realised it was there confirming our address and advised we could get it in half hour. Ended up cancelling as it was already 8.30pm and I am home sick with a cold and ready for bed. Won't ever try them again.

Best Indian in the area. Wonderful flavours with excellent vegetarian and vegan options. Large portion sides mean if you get a full spread of entree, main, rice and side you'll likely have some left for lunch the next day. Special mention has to go to the onion bahajis. Be sure to get a serve just for yourself because you won't want to share!
