Sturt Gorge Recreation Park reviews
36The waterway is incredibly diverse and beautiful. I'd highly recommend walking all the way through!
What an amazing place that! It definitely gets the heart pumping, at times can be very slippery on the rocks but i highly recommend and we will return.
Very beautiful place, great walking trails, so peaceful. Great place to hike also, intermediate level mostly, some trails quite long, others very short. Very enjoyable overall.
Great place for a hike and tie into Craigburn shared trails, also there looks like some good mtb trails also. I was hiking today but will come back with the bike
Fantastic picturesque river walk. We have been on many and this is by far the most naturally exciting river walk of them all.
A beautiful hidden gem. Some great marked out walking trails perfect for a solo hike or one with family and friends. Keep and eye out for the tyre swing on Wattle Trail, thanks to who put it there, my Mum and I loved it!
So close to suburbia yet so secluded from the noise! One of our favourite places to take a group with challenging sections and cruise sections.
Best place for family trecking, walking and exercise, photography. Can spend 3 hours, about 5 kms walk.
It always great to walk in the gorge although some of the trails are quite challenging including the river walk especially when you have your dog. Quite peaceful, definitely recommend it
Love this place. Ride my bike in there every week. The trails are magnificent. Go see for yourself.
Incredible to be in nature and the trails and views are limitless.take a walk if you get opportunity
Difficult to access, access is via scouts Australia controlled gate. Gate was locked, having young children and one baby basically marred our entry into park.
Parks SA need to get it organised properly, either this park is the domain of the common people or they are at the mercy of scouts Australia, and why on earth do they control the entry point of a state government park as they are not government.
Beautiful narrow gorge with a creek down the middle. Mini waterfalls in parts and interesting rock formations. Very lush and green in winter.
Enjoy an awsome eerie walk through amazing terrain, especially after a good rain. Rugged with great riding and walking trails.
Lived in the area for over 8 years but never ventured in until recently. Man, I really missed out on spending a lot of time in a beautiful hidden gem of the Adelaide suburbs. Extensive walking, running, biking trails offering views of the beach, city and hills. I'll have to come back more often for sure!
So close to the city, but you must plan your walk/run and tell someone what your doing and when you will be back.
