At Star of Siam, you definitely get what you pay for; the food is delicious, the staff and Jasmin especially are always so friendly, and it’s a great location to enjoy your meal and watch the exciting happenings of Gouger Street Highly recommend!

White people eating ‘Asian’ food. One of the worst food experiences I’ve had for years.

The team are friendly and polite.

The food was just awful. Dumplings that tasted like plastic. A red Massaman curry that was watery like a thin gravy and gluggy old rice. The papaya salad was tasteless, with all dishes having no spice whatsoever.

If I wasn’t with my work colleagues I would have left.

The staff were very professional. Overall the food is a bit pricey but the quality is worth it. Definitely recommended!

Came here for the second time (after a few years) and the food quality is certainly high. I especially liked the drunken seafood dish! One thing I found quite nice was the lovely staff who served portions of the fried rice and fried noodle onto each individual diner's plate before walking away - not many places do this and it was a nice touch that we appreciated. Overall the cost is fairly standard, I think I have had much more expensive Thai food at a similar level of quality in other places. I also particularly liked the snow pea salad entree. If I wasn't super full I would have liked to have tried a dessert item! Maybe next time!

Excellent food at reasonable prices (especially the lunch menu).
The stars are a house speciality and at more than $5 each (!) they better be good. They know what they are doing and so, despite the average decor and rather pedestrian ambiance, they are an Adelaide institution for Thai food.

Really busy venue but you wouldn't know it from the staff, full of smiles and obviously love their restaurant and are proud of the food and service they provide. I had the drunken seafood and I just have to say that
the food was amazing and the service exemplary. Well done guys, we will be back.

Heard lots of great reviews for this place. Went early evening on a Friday and have to say we were bitterly disappointed. We had fish cakes as an entree but they were so rubbery the knives we had struggled to cut them. The drunken seafood dish was also rubbery and the chicken dish was lukewarm and did not taste fresh. We all though the same of the dishes and our guess was the food had been cooked earlier in the day and then reheated. The prices for the food was ridiculous given the quality. Unfortunately we won’t be going back.

Went here for a work Christmas lunch. The staff are incredibly friendly and the prices are very decent. I got the vegan drunken noodles of off the lunch menu and my friend got the vegan pad thai of off the al carte menu. The food was amazing, and everyone at the table was very happy with their lunches.

Probably the best Thai restaurant in town. The restaurant is located on one if the busiest streets in the city. Warm reception and very quick and friendly service. Good choices of Thai food and nice verity of the drinks.
We ordered bbq squid, Pad-Thai and pan seared pork with rice. Out of the dishes the Pad-Thai was the best and cooked to perfection. The red wine was just absolutely fantastic pairing. The squid and pork were a bit dry but very fresh. Nice place to visit.

There’s a reason this place is a solid gouger st favourite for many years, its fantastic! You’re greeted by friendly service which then throughout the night goes above and beyond. Meal wise everything is delicious, the ‘sea star’ dumplings are delicious and cant go past the massman curry for main, although cashew chicken and chargrilled pork arent far behind. Great wine selection too!

Could not have had a better experience at Star of Siam last night! The service was absolutely exceptional, wine glasses were always full as too were our bellies at the end of our meals! The food is incredible, the crispy chicken is definitely a highlight. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone as they have a taste to cater all! I must once again mention how great the staff are, super friendly and accommodating! Thank you Star of Siam for a wonderful night.

If you are looking for an elegant place to grab lunch during the week. This is the one to choose. Their menu is great across the board. Whether you partake in their Laksa, Drunken Noodles or one of their many rice dishes you are bound to be extremely contented by the result. Having gone there for so many years and never had a bad meal, I just wondering if there is a more restaurant that delivers such consistency in their food day in day out. We all love the staff there too including Jazzy that is always first with a warm greeting and making you feel at home.

Have gone here multiple times over the last few years. Always an exceptional experience from the wait staff even though it is busy they all are very professional.

The meals are always outstanding could not fault with anything.
I have never hesitated to try anything new on the menu even though my partner and I have a couple of favourites!
Constantly will recommend Star of Siam to all my friends and family! 5stars always!

Called in hoping for a table for two on a Saturday night about 6pm. Had to be in and out in an hour. Perfect. Tom Yum soup was good, Kao-pad was ok, but the massaman curry was outstanding. Probably the the best mild beef curry I've ever eaten. (I have to go check my other reviews update them now.)

Yummy yummy food. Personal favourites tonight were the dumplings, green curry and choo chee chicken! Service was great from entering. Offering to hang my jacket and escort us to our table. Very nice and look forward to dining there again.
