St Louis Ice Cream & Desserts Hyde Park

The first time I came here I had a great experience. Unfortunately the second time we ordered and the server seemed very unsure on how to put in an order my belief is she wasn't trained well enough. The order was wrong, and many people who had arrived after us were getting their food and drinks beforehand. We waited 40 minutes for two coffees just for one to not be made at all. They did make a free replacement coffee. But the one they did make first had sugar in it when we had asked for no sugar. Some better training for staff handling the till seems like a good idea.

Not impressed. The staff aren’t friendly & really not interested. The shop needs a good clean. Front mat dog hair etc.can’t make a latte.

Was ok, service was lacking as there weren't enough staff. The boss made a coffee for himself while i stood waiting for mine, but when I got it, the coffee and food was great.

Dessert was mediocre, the service is what was appalling. Out of the 4 meals we ordered, 3 of them came back wrong one after another. No apologies and a half arsed effort to fix the errors. I guess what do you expect when you have 6-7 staff on and all of them but 1 seem to be under the age of 16 on a busy Saturday night. No order and no flow, couldn’t see myself coming back again.

Good place for ice creams. Took a bit longer than expected but overal worth the wait. Great location. It as a litle library with books on the top floor. Books. Great alternative to mobile screens

Always awesome to come here with my girls, staff are super lovely and accommodating, the place is super chill and family friendly.

What an absolutely mesmerizing dessert, Sweet Amalia Banoffee Journey.
A delicate chocolate macaron filled with a scoop of their signature St Louis ice cream, serve with melted dark chocolate, pieces of chocolate sponge cake, dulche de leche, sliced banana, caramel popcorn that scattered around the macaron and a creamy hazelnut ganache that brings everything together.
It tastes terrific as it looks.

This is the place to go for a romantic late-night dessert if you enjoy the following:

1. No one welcoming you when you enter
2. Having to ask for the table to be wiped down because it hasn't been cleaned since the last customers
3. Copping a chest and arm full of spray and wipe from the kid cleaning your table
3. Overcooked churros
4. The melodic hum of the upstairs area being vacuumed while the place is full of customers

Disappointed.

Fantastic menu options and great service. Perfect hot chocolate And crepes. Love going to Hyde Park St Louis for a treat.

Amazing food and staff were so great but the only problem is the food is a little pricey but honestly it’s pretty worth it

We live close and have frequented here through summer this year to satisfy ice cream cravings. Location itself is great. Good seating and nice atmosphere.

Ice cream is great, other food items are okay but wouldn’t rush back for those. As other people have mentioned, any other menu items take a VERY long time to come out.

The biggest let down for this St Louis location is the terrible service. All the young staff at nights are consistently very rude, cold and unwelcoming. Often there’s plenty of staff behind the counter and they keep going about their business and don’t even acknowledge customers standing there waiting. Then when one of them finally acknowledges you, you’re made to feel as though you’ve rudely interrupted them.

Breakfast almost turned to lunch.

Arrived 9.30, after ordering our drinks they took half an hour to come. We ordered our food 10 mins after ordering drinks and that started coming an hour later. After 2 hours and several visits to the counter they finally started making my French toast. A very pretty item as you can see but shouldn't have taken this long to come. I watched one couple arrive, order, eat and then go before I had a chance to start on mine. One item didn't come at all. Apparently it never made it to the order list. We thank McDonald's for their all day breakfast menu and prompt service in lieu of this missing meal.

Being new years day there was not a lot of choice of places to eat and the owner should have realised this and put on another staff member. This would also ensure that the two hour seating limit was adhered to and the two staff members wouldn't have had to deal with complaints about the timing of everything. Staff weren't able to attend to the water dispenser station, clearing and wiping down tables as efficiently as they could.

Don't tell anyone but the icecream is fantastic the other desserts look wicked, coffee wonderful.

Young ladies need to understand what customer service is. I would suggest owners need to train staff. Orders came out in wrong order. Coffee and cake first then meals. Waited for a ham and cheese and toastie and after 45 mins and everyone else was near finished we asked for the
remaining toastie. Wrong one was delivered. Eventually correct one came out with no apology or recognition from staff.
All dishes left on table as staff seemed like they were avoiding us and inside chatting.
Customer service needsvto improve. Will not be recommending.
