St Louis Ice Cream & Desserts Hyde Park

St. Louis Ice Cream & Desserts is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Their gelato is made fresh daily and they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from. They also have a great selection of cakes, pastries, and other desserts.

I recently visited the Hyde Park location and I was very impressed. The gelato was so smooth and creamy, and the flavors were amazing. I had the pistachio gelato and it was one of the best gelatos I've ever had. I also tried the chocolate cake and it was rich and decadent.

In addition to their delicious desserts, St. Louis also has a great coffee shop. I had a cappuccino and it was perfect. It was strong and flavorful, and the milk was perfectly steamed.

Overall, I highly recommend St. Louis Ice Cream & Desserts. It's a great place to go for a sweet treat or a cup of coffee.

I ordered a regular hot chocolate (dark with the chocolate on the rim of the cup). Even though it is dark hot chocolate, it is still too sweet for me. The texture is very thick as well. I felt like I was drinking chocolate sauce.

The atmosphere is good, they have choice of indoor or outdoor seating. There are seats upstairs as well.

The other thing is that they have surcharge on card payments. I think the staff should let customers know, or at least make a sign at the efpos machine saying that there is a surcharge.

The food and drinks.coffee were VG. But the service/organisation was poor. We had already finished our sweets, and had not received our coffees.

I only had ice-cream & its a lovely place to go but the icecream wasn't as nice as I'd hoped.

I love coming here because there is an upstairs area that is much like a private den or library with comfy chairs and books to peruse if you desire a quiet nook to read and enjoy a coffee and cake. They supply daily newspapers as well. Staff are always friendly.

Ordered the cheese toasty that had a picture of sourdough bread with oozing cheese, and lettuce and pickle on top with potato crisps and mayo on the side side
Received square ordinary white bread that was in an open toaster with skimp cheese, no lettuce or pickle and with chicken potato crisps (yuck) and a dollop of mayo.
Nothing like the image on the menu.
Freshly squeezed juice ordered that came in a little bottle from a shop!
To top it off I went to the toilet and although dirty because someone had not flushed, the floor was filthy and looked like it had never been cleaned properly, very dirty corners with hair, rubbish etc that was months old.
Terrible experience.

Great variety of desserts to share if you dare. And plenty of single serves too of gelati and cakes.

Great service and the food presentation was just as delicious and beautiful as the taste. There is public parking behind the building. They have amazing drinks. Would recommend stopping by on a walk along king William Rd.

Awful experience. The custard bomboloni was not available which they didn't tell us so was substituted for a stale Nutella one which we are allergic to hazelnut. Charged $3.90 for a few sections of banana not put in crepe we ordered. Driver did not alert us when they delivered. Only went to check when saw on uber eats app that driver was going around in circles. $40 down the drain. Never again.

I have been here twice for dessert and both times I have had a good experience. Spacious indoors and has a cute upstairs sitting area too. There are some outdoor tables as well.
I love the Nutella strawberry and biscoff crepes! Nicely presented and very tasty! When it was busier on one of the nights there was a bit of a waiting time but that’s understandable as it was quite busy. Otherwise the second time we came it was quiet and the desserts came out very quick. Crepes are priced at $20 which is fair for the size of the crepe.
I have not had the coffee here or other items from the menu apart from desserts so I can’t comment on anything else.
Desserts are worth it and I would recommend you visit if you have a sweet tooth!

I have really enjoyed my visits to your restaurant. I have taken my friends from the country there for an after dinner dessert. They were really impressed with the food and the service.

$17 for an average toastie and the aircon wasn't working either. Looks nice from the outside, but that's about all this place has going for it.

Such lovely management - very kind and obliging. Fabulous sweets and very tasty Toasties. Coffee a lovely flavour and they will make stronger if you like it that way. Big tick ️

Delicious crepes and great service. Loving the change of ownership. Will definitely be back regularly!

Average ‘signature’ hot chocolates. Not enough chocolate in them and expected to use the chocolate sauce on the lip of the cup to DIY it.
Biscoff crepes are not biscoff. Has the sensation of phlegm and tastes like they have watered down caramel sauce in an attempt to make it taste like cookie butter.
Biscoff gelato is literally vanilla ice cream with the above ‘phlegm’ sprinkled in.
Really average, and expensive.

Poor value. Not competitive. Price for large decaf mocha dine in $8.80. Another case of the Franchisor being out of touch.

Waited over an hour for a cocktail drink and was told after questioning the staff that there was no staff member with an RSA so our drinks would not be able to be served till they got in. (At 5: 00) at 5: 30 we still don’t have our drinks, also still waiting on a simple 3 scoops of ice cream…. Definitely won’t be coming back here

35minutes wait for a take away mocha. Empty tables, team standing around staring at the clock, no lineups, register operator disinterested and blamed the wait on being "busy". I have been to this cafe a few times in the past good experience overall but the vibe is completely off nowdays. Not to mention powerboards are silver duct taped to the walls? Come on guys youre better than this.

Not the best customer service Fruit did not come real quick But the food was nice and tasty and they gave us a free scoop of navilla ice cream So I am riding this place at solid 3
