Somerton Park Day & Night Medical Centre

Booked an appointment for 9 am to have a spot looked at (5 minutes required) booking confirmed, see you at 9. Rock up and the practitioner doesn’t see new patients at 9…? Pretty odd. No notification or even the courtesy of a phone call to let me know. Shouldn’t be able to book the slot if the appointment isn’t available - complete joke and waste of time. Online booking is supposed to make your life easier not harder

The receptionist lady working Thursday night at this clinic was very rude and unprofessional towards me. I understand there’s protocol but the way she treated me when she could see I was clearly sick and struggling to breathe was disgusting. After about 10 minutes of unnecessary discussion I was told to walk back out into the cold to wait in my car. It is a shame because the doctor I had was amazing, he was able to provide me with what I needed, very professional and very warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the receptionist has ruined this experience for me which is disappointing as the service from the doctor was exceptional. Would give 1 star but 3 stars is because the doctor was great

We were able to get a late night appointment booked only 1.5hrs before the appointment. Staff were lovely and only a $25 gap. Very impressed and happy knowing this clinic is an option.

I have never, in my life been made to feel like less of a human by the doctor I saw at Somerton Day and Night yesterday. The way I was spoken to in the private room by a person I went in to see for help, was actually humiliating. Walking into the reception crying, and crying the whole way home is not a pleasant experience.

As a first time patient, I was really happy with Somerton Park Day & Night Medical Centre. I booked a last minute appointment, which was good, as I had an important issue to resolve. The receptionist I spoke to was friendly & helpful. The dr I saw was great too. I highly recommend this medical centre, it’s a bit cheaper too for out of pocket gap fee.

Rude receptionists & arbitrary about bulk billing, some appointments are, very similar appointments with the same doctor wont be.

Took my teenage daughter there, who was hesitant about going but the professional nurse put us both at ease, provided lots of useful info, guidance, support and print out info. We left there at ease and with all the info, would highly recommend.

As always, an excellent experience here at Somerton Park Day & Night Surgery. Dr Kosi Abeysundera was on time, professional and goes into such detail. Has real compassion for his patients. We’ve now moved 20 minutes away, but I won’t be changing my doctor!

As a first time visitor to this clinic I was able to get in at very short notice over the weekend. The doctor I saw made me feel comfortable and listened well to ensure he understood my needs. Would definitely recommend and attend again.

My son and his wife were advised by SA Health to contact their GP regarding a PCR test for their 5 week old baby. The GP at this clinic spoke to them for less than 2 minutes, during which time he said he didn’t know what to do, nor provide any assistance. This was a very stressful situation, compounded by this Clinic contacting them shortly after asking for payment for his ‘consult’. When questioned about this, staff were less than interested. How disappointing that this GP couldn’t bulk bill, given that he was unable to be helpful. What a disgraceful thing to do. Be ashamed.

Great experience with excellent staff.
My consultation with Dr. Kosala Abeysundera was more than I expected. He is knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this service.

They charge another extra visit/appointment to get basic 'yes/no' test result answers.exploiting the Medicare system and wasting everyone's time

I was extremely happy with this clinic. Been to a few over the years but this one had a lovely nurse who I spoke to when making my appointment and Dr Alam was great as well

The receptionist was super lovely and the place itself was clean and modern, also efficient. The doctor was great and really friendly!

Needed a doctor on a Sunday. The whole process was efficient and straightforward. From making the appointment to the consultant. 10 to 15 minute wait. Awesome.
