Sip'n Save - Somerset Hotel reviews
26Would recommend this place as the number 1 for food, sports watching, kid friendly, local sponsorship of sports. Classic pub.
These are honestly the best meals I've ever had who every the chef / cooks here are amazing feel comfortable ordering anything off the menu you won't be disappointed we actually travel nearly an hour to have tea Here it's so good
Dined here last week. Service was great and food even better. I had a lunch time special of the Fish, squid, chips and salad. It was possibly the best fish I have had. All meals served were a generous size. I will definitely dine here when I come to Millicent again
Food excellent, had fish, it melted in your mouth. Hubby has lamb, he loved it. Salads were really crisp. They have selection of deserts, rhubarb and apple crumble was delish! Deep fried ice with butterscotch crumble, it was fab, my husband eyes rolled back in his head with pleasure. Price was really good $53 for all the food plus drinks.
Stayed here last minute and couldn’t have had a warmer welcome. Excellent customer service and just a hassle-free stay in general. Room was basic and dated but perfectly clean and extremely reasonable. Thank you!
Came in on a busy basketball competition weekend, place was booked out but they found us a spot, service was great and the meals were delivered quickly and tasty
Will go again
Service is great. Don't order mushroom sauce though. It's beef gravy with a few slices of mushroom. Never used to be that way. Sad.
Friendly staff and good meals with very generous serves. We ate there 5 consecutive nights on a recent stay and between 8 friends, we did not have a miss. Prices neither cheap nor expensive but once ordered, the meals were on the table very quickly
Had a few hiccups navigating the website, had a great communication with the very patient and delightful Michelle. She kindly assisted me to find the menu, today enjoyed a chicken schnitzel with salad and sweet chilli plum sauce
Michelle is an asset, proactive, great personality, I could go on forever
Good generous meals for decent prices and a $14 lunch menu during the wk. Looks like it's been recently renovated. Lovely friendly staff
We took family from Adelaide here for dinner, they were very impressed with the meals. Between us we had salt &pepper squid, fish & chips, chicken Schnitzel & chips & lamasery on bed of mashed potato. Real home cooked flavour, very generous serves. Fast & friendly service. Family friendly, clean premises. Better standard than regular pub meals. Will definitely return.
DO NOT GET THE HOLLINDAISE SAUCE FROM HERE. IT GIVES YOU A STOMACH ACHE EVERYTIME AND I SHOULD KNOW CAUSE I GO HERE AT LEAST TWICE A MONTH.
Always come here when passing through the town. They have a great menu, and very generous with their serves. Friendly staff, and pleasant surroundings.
It's good to see a pub looking after local distilleries and brewers.
The pub meals are pretty decent as well. The special board is always worth checking out for that added bit of variety.
Been going there for years and will keep going for years to come
Good food good staff all the makings for great atmosphere
Lovely dinner, very big meals. Couldn't eat it all. Want to. I had seafood platter. Cooked well.
Service was great. Meals mediocre. Otherwise all ok to visit. Customers are a crack up. Great atmosphere.
God they were so busy last night but handled it with excellent precision and fantastic timing. I thought we were going to have to wait for ever for our food.but the food was brought out really quickly. I had the seafood plate very well cooked fresh and delicious.staff were all positive and happy
As locals who eat here fairly regularly we can tend to take it for granted. It's not until we go on holiday and order a pubmeal pretty much anywhere else in Australia that we realise how good we have it in Millicent with the Somerset. The steaks are worth bragging to your interstate friends about, and the schnitzels are a great feed. We find the service always friendly and accommodating. The recent renovations are a definite plus, and I love the fact that we can dine in peace without having Sports TV in our face.
We do miss the yummy salad bar since covid19 restrictions and look forward to when it comes back.
Well done to all involved in providing a consistent, enjoyable dining experience for the locals
