Shibui Dessert Bar reviews
37We had the chocolate lava tart and mango pudding. The mango pudding was really light, fruity and thoroughly enjoyable. The chocolate tart was decadent and made us both happy diners. The service was friendly and quick as well.
Ordered a milk hot chocolate and Eton Mess with numerous berries.
Milk hot chocolate weirdly tasted like metallic spoons which was weird because the spoon also tasted metallic. It just wasn't enjoyable to drink so we didn't even drink half of it.
Dessert was a weird combination of berries, in theory that would've worked well however execution was quite ill tasting - almost tasteless.
Staff were looking at us in a judgemental manner before and after our dessert was served.
I have had one good experience here before, I'm not really sure what happened. Wouldn't go here again.
Nice small place that provides a small selection of deserts and fantastic thickshakes. It is not a cheap place but the presentation and service is very good.
This place is definitely special with high quality desserts on offer that are absolutely divine. The owner started up the well known Devour patisserie and continues to present unique and delicious desserts. Well worth the wait if there are queues. Plenty of street parking available surrounding the venue. I really enjoyed these mochi donut things
Nice place, well-plated desserts with prices on the higher end of the spectrum. A good place to soothe that sweet tooth craving.
Won't visit again.its understandable only 45 mins allowed for each table at peak hours.dine rules is each person must order 1 dish or drink. Every one of us ordered 1 drink and few desserts to share, and also ordered some take away desserts and drinks. HOWEVER, only 20 minus, and we didnt even finish our desserts and drinks, we were told that we didnt order much, more customers came and 'kindly' asked us to leave. With half of drinks still on the table, we were told to wait for take away order in waiting area at entrance. Excuse me? So the "rules" were set to be ignored? Is this the way you treat your customers?
no more visit! Awful experience!
Tried their donuts drizzled with condensed milk.best dish on the menu I think! It had a yummy chewy texture and is absolutely mouth watering! Will come back just for that!
Great donuts. Lost a star for poor customer service. Asked for takeaway boxes as we were very full and had to order 1 dessert per person. Waitress was rude, insisted there were no containers for us to pack the donuts in, even though we were happy to pay for them.
Amazing dessert bar, I keep coming back and the appeal doesn’t wear off. Service is great and quite fast, despite always being crazy busy! Book ahead if you can.
Desserts are very pretty. Taste good as well. Ordered bombe alaska. The tableside flambe adds to the experience.
Waiting sucks but well worth it when you are seated. Most of the desserts I've tried make the tastebuds tingle:)
Be sure to book ahead or be prepared to wait for a table. They have a waitlist and will call you when your table is ready so all good.
We had dessert & taro latte which was surprisingly delicious. Will definitely be back again.
Came here after ages of wanting to come try out this place. The service was great, there was no issues at all but the atmosphere and desserts were a huuugeee let down. They were so overpriced and if im paying $20 for dessert in adelaide, it better be good.but tried the chocolate forest and eaton mess and it really was a MESS since it was just cream and fruit but cost me $20. Wont come back again due to the huge disappointment. Sorry!
Tasty desserts - always a special treat! Service is always quite fast. Staff are friendly enough.
Everything is made in house. Staff are super kind. Place is beautiful and warmly. Deserts are small but very worth it, we couldn't finish ours.
Expensive, but fun for a one off experience. They light the swiss meringue on fire around the dish. Definately a highlight.
