48Nice place to stop for a break from orgoing towards Alice Springs. Amneties are good and food is ok.
Great place to eat lunch but it was always mega busy for dinner so we had to go down the road but we spread our money evenly out there.
Coffee was terrible. It was the only place open 5am in the morning when we left so we were forced to go there. It would be nice if they had actual coffee rather than a machine that you press buttons for and still cost the same as a barista made.
This is one of the first petrol station you see when you turn into Coober Pedy from the Stuart highway. They have fuel, Shop and modern and big restaurant.
Good basic bar and grill meals. Friendly staff. Nightly specials. Have a meal and get 5c a litre off at the servo or spend $25 or more in the servo, above fuel and get 10% off the meal in the bar and grill
As a local go here with visitors this place never disappoints, 1 fish& chips 1 lamb chops 1 yuros on a plate
2 T bones the meat was spectacular
Had the petrol and ice I wanted. One of the local aboriginal men greeted me at the pump and informed me that Coober Pedy was named after him. I later found out this was false.
Great restaurant, very modern and well presented. Staff are friendly, sit down meals are wonderful. However there takeaway food options are pretty dismal. The only sandwich's that ever seem to be available (pre-made) are ham and cheese, or turkey/chicken and cheese, a bit of salad wouldn't go astray, especially for people just wanting a quick bite to take back on the road with them, and not have to wait for an order to be made.
Early morning start 0600 coffee machine working and the only hot food was pies and sausage rolls as you would expect. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The shop was heated as out side was 3degrees.
Was great to get fuel at a decent price and had we have hung there for a week our receipt would have got us more fuel even cheaper. Great idea for the locals that is.
Grab something quick or sit in everything you want in one place great hospitality and staff beautiful atmosphere go on say hi you'll be glad you did
Convenient helpful staff grab what you want petrol, hot food, cold drink great place to stop on your way out of town or coming in
The food was so fresh and so tasty, best eggs anyone can make. The staff are very polite and helpful. Thank you for the wonderful service before and after.
Good place to get a feed at reasonable prices as for fuel there are 3 other service stations in Coober Pedy and a few cents cheaper. Servo opposite drive in theatre is cheapest in town, closed Sunday's.
Friendly staff. Clean amenities. Great food & service. I stop here everytime I'm heading for the Red Centre. Keep up the good work
Just drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and on the way back stopped into this servo for fuel. Filled up with premium unleaded, got 20 mins down the road and a light came on on the dash. Car swallowed 3/4 of a tank of fuel between Coober Pedy and Glendambo which isn't good especially at premium prices. Filled up again at Glendambo and light went off in 1/2 hr and chimed on again once more for 10 mins, made it to snowtown before fuel light came on.
By far the worst fuel of our trip
Clean bathrooms, good food and everything priced well. Although it was interesting to have the police turning up every few mins.
Bathrooms clean, restaurant was clean good place to get fuel. The rooms looked like they were cheaper here did not see the condition of them
Great staff
Great bar and bistro
Best experience for outback dining in central Australia
Shell servo and adjacent Outback Bar and grill restaurant, a good place to stop in Coober Pedy.
The fuel station was found to have the best petrol / diesel prices between Port Augusta and Alice Springs (at the time of visiting), significantly less expensive than the other roadhouses on the route, so we made use of this stop in both directions and ate at the next-door restaurant when heading north
