Barked at me cash only which l said was fine. Waited 10 minutes for them to take my order. No joy so l walked out. I can see why there are ques at the other one.

Ordered food and while waiting saw staff berating both a customer trying to pick up their order, and another customer who had returned as their order was not fully cooked. Meal was a bit pathetic, with very skimpy undercooked chips and soggy fish. Won't be coming back, definitely worth waiting for fish and chips at the other F&C shop (Soto's) just up the road.

The big, loud guy is GREAT, food's always cooked well.but the last couple of times, someone else cooked - and it was nothing short of DISGUSTING!

The fish had soaked up soooo much oil, it was really sickening. The chips (what LITTLE there was) were OVERcooked. With so much of the thin slivers. I barely got a taste of potato!

Comparatively. They're pretty expensive for what you get. We ordered the combo of 2 pieces of butterfish and chips. With two cans of coke.for $16

But didn't want the coke.

We got barely a handful of chips between us. If someone doesn't want the two cans, you'd think they'd have either lowered the price.or AT LEAST given you MORE THAN A HANDFUL OF CHIPS!

Poor business practice.

All's I can say is, if the big guy's not cooking.keep walking!

My first time here. What caught my eye was they use oil and vegetarian friendly and not lard. The food was beautiful and will be returning soon. Best chips I've tried that way. Not smelly or full of grease like many.

Walked in ready to be a polite customer only to be greeted with aggressive customer service. Will never go back.

Oily soaked chips, not cooked properly, no sauces, and they seemed annoyed that I inconvenienced them with my order. Won't be going back.

The food is very fresh and delicious, in large quantities and very good value for money. My kids and parents love it. The boss and his wife were very friendly and made us feel at home.

The Steak Sandwiches we ordered were very, very tasty and tender. The Fish was fresh and chips went down well. Great tasting food and very friendly service.

Walked in, checked in with QR code looked at the mebu, got drinks from the fridge and went to go order and was then told that it's cash only as the eft machine was broken. You'd think you would mention that upon entrance, and this is not the first time I've had the exact same experience here, and with a rude attitude. Won't be getting a third chance

Worst fish and chips ever, soggy batter, grey looking fish and bits of potato deep fried that they called chips (not 1 chip was longer than 10mm). Never again

The best fish and chips in Semaphore. The fish is fresh, moist, perfectly battered and cooked, the chips are melt in your mouth with a fresh crunch.

Best thing about this place is the entertaining guy serving. Very funny! Fish was nice, batter was nice, although we asked for 1 piece to be grilled and we got 2 battered. The chips were just dried up scraps, less than a handful of whole chips in the lot. Disappointing first visit.

Slimy and left with a bad after taste and that is just the customer service. Wait till you try the oily fish and chips!

Ordered a AB pack from Menulog. Don’t bother even if you’re desperate. Soggy uncooked chips with cheap meat, only garlic sauce added? That’s not an AB pack.very poor. Upset to say the least

Average fish and chips at best. Prawns tasted like cardboard, chips were like they were cooked and reheated a few times. Wouldn't go back. Service was average. Not a friendly face.

Great service and very friendly staff would recommend to anyone wanting delicious food and a family atmosphere. Will be going back for sure

I was previously a customer of sotos but descovered Semaphore Fish and Chips recently and they are amazing. Cannot fault their food and would highly recommend.

The fish is absolutely delicious and you get a good piece, the chips come in copious amounts, you can buy them (pretty cheap) per bag to share (handy) and don't forget the gravy. So good.

Fish and chips are the best. Great for a afternoon dinner you can have a bit of a picnic in the grassed area in the middle of the road and do some people watching and watch the world go buy or down to the park and jetty on a nice day.
Yes would eat there again
