The interior makes you feel like you're visiting Japan. I had a $32 sashimi + tempura bento and the unagi seemed delicious. I liked it because it had a bit of an authentic Japanese bento feel, but it was disappointing that there was no tap beer. The Korean man serving the hall was friendly, and the bathroom interior was very unique, so be sure to visit the bathroom. It's a bit pricey, but the sashimi quality was good and it's worth coming for the bento.

Excellent service. Great Japanese atmosphere.

Every dish is excellent except the udon. It is super blend and the broth just taste like water.

Would highly recommend the rice dish but don’t waste your time on their udon

A cute little Japanese restaurant in North Adelaide. The Kitsume udon felt warm and homey, exactly what I needed on a cold winter's night, and the sushi was fresh. Service was a little slow but very friendly.

Such good quality food, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My friend and I had the eel which was delicious! The staff were absolutely amazing and we really appreciated their care and assistance:) ️

Delicious food with the reasonable price! Cozy and nice moods, especially I feel like their lunch time and the dinner time had different moods which means you should visit there for both lunch and dinner time to enjoy this restaurant fully. Also the staff is nice all the time I visited. Love here.:)

Always lovely here, great food and service. However this time our banquet was coming out way too fast. After telling them to slow down it was much better. Thank you for a great evening.

Very poor quality food with miserable portions and terribly overpriced. The terriyaki chicken was fatty pieces of low quality chicken and flavourless. The “salad” was a couple of leaves and the “potato” was a tiny dollop. The assorted sashimi was tiny and very pricey at $30.
Overall a very poor experience

Went there for the lunch specials, quite large servings and decent in pricing. The dishes eaten was the hamburger steak bento + miso soup and the karaage (fried chicken) ramen. The broth of the ramen was garlicky, smooth and deep in umami flavour and the noodles were cooked just right, not too firm and not too soft, with enough chew to the bite. The egg was soft boiled, 5 fried pieces of chicken, wakame (seaweed), naruto (fish cake), nori (dried seaweed) and some spring onions to garnish. Very simple but straight to the point. Solid ramen 10/10 can't go wrong with it. As for the bento, the hamburger steak was juicy, with the perfect onion to meat ratio. In addition the demi glace sauce was delicious too. The rice was a tad over cooked and soft but no biggie. The Bento had the standard pickles, 1 takoyaki, 2 side dishes (potato and eggplant), as well as a scoop of potato salad, a tamagoyaki (fried egg [slice]) and salad (the salad dressing was spectacular!). The miso soup was good too. There is a nice range of Japanese beverages from whisky to beer. My partner had the white ale and I had grape soda. Very tasty! Service was very prompt, waiter who served us was polite and kind. It seems as though this place is run by a family of Japanese folk. Hence the interior design of the restaurant is very similar to what you see in Japan. Overall, delicious and had good vibes 10/10 would recommend.

I love the fact that this place offers two styles of hot pot. Shabu Shabu and Sukiyaki, both provide a really great experience of sharing with friends and family, but there's such an extensive list of recipes that have been delivered so well over many years.

Sato delivers wonderful Japanese food at a moderate price but what consistently stands out to me is just how friendly and warm the owners and staff are. Such a delight to visit.

Went back again tonight.

Great food in a wonderfully relaxed environment.

Can't wait to visit again, I always have a great time here.

Lovely, authentic family-run restaurant. The sashimi was outstanding and the “banquet” options are very good value. Also enjoyed the humour (see T-shirts).

The staff was very friendly but to be honest we were a bit disappointed. We ordered the Sato special what mentions 4 rolls but in reality it was 4 pieces. When we asked about this they said it is just 4 pieces not 4 rolls. I mentioned they should really change this on the menu to the correct information because it is a bit disceptive.
They gave us a few extra sushi pieces what was nice.

Sashimi was tasty but sushi rolls were mostly rice unfortunately.

We did not try any other things of the menu except the Sato special.

We used to like this place but now not sure it is the new management, the food quality has dropped tremendously. We ordered the beef sukiyaki and it was full of onions and udon which is not mentioned in the menu, there is hardly any beef and more like eating udon soup. The eel was so fishy that we couldn’t eat it. We waited long time for our drinks to arrive and the restaurant is not even busy. Have to look for a other Japanese restaurant now to go to.

AMAZING! This family owned business is simply awesome. I ate here three nights in a row, just to try different dishes! LOL. Sashimi and agedashi tofu was brilliant; eel with soba noodles was simply amazing. First place I will have dinner on my next visit to Adelaide.

The freshest nicest tempura I've had for a long time! Lovely ambience, service and quality taste. Don't forget to try the warm Saki and karaage fried chicken
Also surprisingly reasonable for such to quality in North Adelaide.

I had an unagi bento and sashimi & tempura bento, every single item was delicious, I love authentic Japanese food, thanks for putting your heart in cooking.

The taste is a more like a supermarket level. Such as the eel, teriyaki chicken, the ginger beef and the ice cream. However, the charge is a premium. Dish is tiny. One star is purely because the service is good.
