Nice enough food, but we thought it was overpriced. It was a pleasant experience watching the chef cooking the food in front of us.
Addition: After seeing the response of this restaurant due to covid19 pandemic, this will be the first place we support once it’s open again.
Update: We went here again recently, and everything was 10/10!
Excellent atmosphere, delicious food, and attentive service.

I had the immense pleasure of dining at Samaria teppanyaki tonight and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I was transported into a world of culinary artistry and entertainment that left an indelible mark on my palate and memories.

The ambiance was captivating, with an inviting blend of traditional and modern Japanese elements. As I took my seat at the teppanyaki grill table, I could feel the anticipation building for what was about to unfold.

The skilled teppanyaki chef named Riho was nothing short of a maestro, flawlessly choreographing a symphony of sizzling ingredients right before our eyes. The theatrical display of knife skills, precision cooking, and deft manipulation of utensils left everyone at the table in awe. It was not just a meal, but a captivating performance that engaged all the senses.

The menu offered an array of fresh ingredients, from succulent shrimp and tender steak to a colorful medley of vegetables. Each dish was a masterpiece, not only in taste but in presentation as well. The delicate balance of flavors showcased the chef's expertise, with every bite bursting with a harmonious blend of savory, sweet, and umami goodness.

What truly set this experience apart was the personalized attention we received. The chef interacted with the guests, sharing insights into the dishes, answering questions, and even tailoring some preparations to individual preferences. It felt like a journey through Japanese cuisine guided by a passionate expert.

The highlight of the meal was witnessing the transformation of raw ingredients into culinary perfection right in front of us. The skillful flipping of utensils, the mesmerizing onion volcano, and the playful tossing of food items kept us engaged and entertained throughout the evening.

From start to finish, the service was impeccable. Attentive staff ensured our glasses were never empty and our needs were met promptly, all while maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere.

As I reflect on my experience at Samurai Teppanyaki, I am reminded of the words "culinary artistry. " This was not just a meal; it was a work of art that delighted the senses, engaged the mind, and left an unforgettable impression. I am grateful to have had the privilege of dining at this establishment and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a perfect blend of gastronomy and entertainment.

In a world where dining experiences often blend together, Samurai Teppanyaki stands out as a shining example of what exceptional culinary craftsmanship can achieve. It's a place where food becomes an expression of passion, skill, and creativity, resulting in an unforgettable journey of taste and spectacle.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Samurai, and it left a lasting impression on me. The highlight of my experience was undoubtedly the talented chef, Ms. Riho. Her exceptional culinary skills were matched only by her warm smile and genuine enthusiasm in welcoming guests. In addition to the unforgettable experience at Samurai, I must commend their remarkable menu selection, particularly the inclusion of Kobe beef. I highly recommend Samurai, not only for its delectable Teppanyaki cuisine but also for the incredible service provided by the charming Ms. Riho.

They respond really quick when I have trouble to reach them for my booking deposit issue. Problem solved. I will be back again to try the double wagyu. Looking forward about it

We booked a table for 4 and two of our party were sat on a corner by the walk way and were cold - (one of them is a diver and not known for being cold!) - the chef was lovely and explained all the courses and different types of wagyu to us all - however; we got charged for water …: table water? And some of the food had rested so much it was cold - two had abalone and it came in a weird sauce which ruined the taste for them.: : I add they were not asked if they wanted the sauce. We were astonished by all the add on prices - a visa charge? And what is a Saturday night charge? $80? For four of us - is this normal? We eat out regularly -and have never heard of this charge … hope the staff get it - food was good and we all enjoyed parts of it but $1000 for four of us? I didn’t drink alcohol at all and one of the other’s was driving so it wasn’t a big alcohol night - not going to recommend or come back -

From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated to a truly exceptional dining experience. The restaurant has a fantastic ambiance, with a modern yet traditional Japanese feel that perfectly sets the scene for the feast to come.

The food was phenomenal. I had the pleasure of trying the Samurai Feast, which was a perfectly paced banquet of flavours. Every dish, from the sashimi starter to the Australian Wagyu main course and the house-made ice cream for dessert, was impeccable. The teppanyaki style cooking made for not only a delicious meal but also a highly entertaining one, as the skilled chefs prepared each dish with flair right in front of us.

The service was top-notch, the staff were attentive, friendly, and highly knowledgeable about both the food and a superb selection of sakes. Their enthusiasm for what they do really shines through, and it's contagious!

The Samurai Teppanyaki House isn't just a restaurant, it's a culinary experience. Yes, it's pricier than your average eatery, but the quality of the food, the skill of the chefs, and the level of service you receive make it worth every penny. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Adelaide. A truly five-star restaurant!

A lovely experience, very courteous staff, lovely setting and vegan menu was quite tasty.
Our chef was not engaging at all, but not impolite. Would have loved to have seen some more of his skills but he was just very focused.
Drink servers were polite and attentive without being intrusive.
Only true complaints I have are we were served honey wasabi for the vegan menu and it wasn't fully explained. Didn't find out until after when the people next to us asked about it, and no option for a different grill despite allergies/vegan food being served with meat. In will say that our chef impeccably separated things in the one grill, but the chef next to us did not.
(People next to us had a person allergic to seafood and although they were aware, there was definitely cross contamination)
We had a lovely time, and only wish we had the engagement with our chef.

Quality of food and service was amazing. Would recommend Nimo Mori in your booking reservation as your chef for the night. His attention to detail in presentation and way of explaining what you are eating in front of you is spectacular. Please ensure you request the Cherry Blossom Sakura icecream as your dessert, which is also his creation - perfectly balanced in terms of all flavour profiles and ensure you have his fave salts when eating the meats (matcha lemon salt and lava salt).

Thank you Nimo for such a great experience x

Samurai Teppenyaki House is located not far from the CBD, serving a set menu with upgrade options for the seafood and wagyu courses. What sets them apart from the other teppanyaki restaurants is the wide range of Japanese A5 wagyu that they offer. Dined here twice and both were great experience watching Chef Nimo skillfully cook the food with precision. All the dishes were delicious; highlight was the Japanese wagyu of course. Also very friendly and accommodating service from Chef Nimo throughout the dining experience; very helpful with explaining the differences between the different wagyu breeds. Would recommend the Kobe beef tasting banquet if you never had a high marble Japanese wagyu, so you can compare side by side with a less marble Australian wagyu.

Look I won't lie to you, this place is expensive. However, if you want to go to what is possibly the most unique restaurant in Adelaide, this is the place to go. If you want to spoil someone or just do something different this is the place to go.

I have been to this restaurant many times, and i can honestly say it's the best Teppanyaki in Adelaide. If you enjoy top quality Japanese food this is the place for you.

Impeccable service, top shelf quality, courteous and professional staff, and of course fantastic authentic Japanese cuisine. Hands down easy to see why they are one of only two restaurants in Australia to hold the official licence and certification for the serving of Kobe Beef. A must-go for any lover of fine dining!

Overpriced, terrible service.

We've visited 3 times over the last few years and this will be our last time.

Really enjoyed the food the chef was great.
The waiting staff were perhaps in need of More training. They couldn't pour a beer and were slightly inattentive.
Overall though still deserves the rating.

Just walked by and attracted by the decorations last week. We didn’t make any bookings and luckily they were not busy on that night.
My husband and I were a bit excited. After we came in, the door was locked and there was a man simply introduced the different kinds of beef they had in house. Then the waiter lead us to sit down in front of the chef.
The chef is very skillful and humorous. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the foie gras and chocolate beef! It’s so yum with the homemade matcha lemon salt. I would like to buy some if it’s for sale! You should try the other kinds of salt though, interesting!
The waiters are also very friendly and attentive. Very satisfied and will definitely come back?
