24I have always had such a positive experience when I’ve needed the help of the doctors and staff at Reynella medical centre. Some times it’s busy and I need to be patient, but the wait is never too long. Couldn’t recommend them higher to be fair. Will recommend my friends and family to this practice
For getting prescriptions filled, fantastic.but i went in there for 2 reasons, and when I asked about the second issue i was told 'sorry your appointment is only for 10 minutes, you will have to make another appointment' i was shocked.
I've never heard a doctor in any other clinic say to me 'sorry, you are taking up too much time'. If that is the case, then you did not allow enough time for me - especially since I don't particularly want to be there, so I am definitely not looking to 'waste your time'. To get my new angry moles checked, i will now have to take another block of time out from work.
Even worse, out of the time i had with him, he spent over 5 minutes on a phonecall looking over some medical records with i assume a nurse - and then told me he couldn't check my moles 'because he was late'
Patient care is now a revolving, efficient money making machine.

Myself and both my children have been attending Reynella medical center for a couple of years now. We don't have a specific doctor as we usually take the first available appointment, I also see the nurse. I have to say that my experience here has always been top notch, wait times are minimum, friendly caring staff, clean tidy practice, quick and easy to obtain appointments. I would recommend to anyone.
I have been a patient at this clinic for over 20 years.
Today i saw Dr Roland Oak.
He was efficient in his consult and only 15 minutes late. Note this as he was late and my appt was just before lunch.
However after dealing with 3 minor issues i came to my major health concern and he said " your time is up, you will need to make another appointment". I was stunned and left.
I had been in his room at my estimation for maximum 7 minutes. Definetly not 10.
I am an efficient patient. I do not chat and am concise with my sx. I felt dealing with the easy things first (repeat prescriptions and referrals) was appropriate. My next request would have also been concise but has long term health implications but i was prevented from discussing this.
I was stunned at this attitude from a health care professional. Consequently my major health concern was ignored.
Due to my work schedule i will not be able to address this for 2 months.
I feel he is a competent GP but has a very poor perception of the relationship that should develop between a GP.and patient.
Possibly he should start his consultation with " tell.me the worst things first because you don't have much time"
