Renno Spice - Mawson Lakes

Tonight's delivery was terrible. Crispy beef was not cooked enough - but the chicken in cashew was the shocker.
So much green capsicum, cubed carrot, peas and onion. The only vegetable which is Asian was the corn. It was terrible. I could have done better with my purchases from the markets this morning but wanted a nice birthday dinner. It was like mum makes when doing Chinese without any idea.
Sadly I didn't get one.

I need to add the fact that we have been here many times over three years. Always had a good experience in the past. I certainly hope their quality returns to what it once was. Please use Asian vegetables.

My son recommended I try Mawson Lakes Chinese restaurant and I was not disappointed.full belly, smiling face ️

The crispy beef in plum sauce was amazing and so was the special fried rice. Great quality. Good serves. Great prices. The staff went out of the way to make my mother feel special when they discovered it was her 60th birthday.

Waited an hour for food to come out, entree came out after mains were finished. Only three other tables were occupied. Food was good otherwise. Got served an out of date drink. They need to lift their game.

7 January 2021, tea for 12 people and what a fabulous enjoyable Banquet Meal it was, the service was great and the hospitality could not be better. The New Management have made a significant difference, we will certainly be going back again and soon.

The items we ordered are ok food.we didn't hate it, neither love it.nothing special.also the portion size is reduced with the new management.ambience is good and service too

After reading all the negative reviews on this Chinese restaurant I had to give it a go for myself. To begin with, a lot of the reviews are exaggerated and poorly written. I last visited this restaurant many years ago when it first opened, now not much has changed since I last went but it was quite an authentic experience compared to many other restaurants that offer the same food around Mawson Lakes & surrounding.

The food was great, I tried 3 different meals to make sure it wasn’t just the one great lucky meal.
Sweet & Sour Pork and Fried Hokkien Noodles Combination lived up to their standards. Nothing out of this world but nothing negative, they both hit the sweet spot for me, quite literally. The Salt & Pepper Squid however was a great try, different to what you’d imagine. The squid was in a fried fluffy ball, however more squid could have been inside each piece/less batter.

I definitely will be back here again to try the rest of this menu.

The fried rice was fresh and delicious and contains a nice variety of fresh veggies. The Chef, William, happily accommodated our extremely fussy four year old’s request for fish with no sauce by presenting him with perfectly steamed fish that was in my son’s words “very tasty”. He has never complemented any foods before and he has eaten in many restaurants previously. The sweet and sour pork was generously portioned and the veggies still had good texture and bite to them. The service was friendly and polite and they were good to our very young children. I would definitely go again and would recommend it.

I am not happy with this place at all. We had to wait for 1 hour and 40 minutes for them to bring our food and when it arrived it was nothing special, nothing to justify such a long wait. There were only 3 tables occupied at the place all of them were in the same position, exhausted and grumpy with the wait and disappointed with food. Not recommended!

Was honestly the best takeaway meal we've had for a long time. Delivered ahead of time by a polite driver and the food was excellent. Thanks so much.

Haven't been here for a long time but William and his wife are now there, food was tasty, hot and delicious. It is now one of my go to place.
Ordered and picked up 20 mins later. Lots of vegetarian options

Husband called up for a pick up. They said food will be ready in 20 minutes and the actual waiting time was 45 minutes! The food was horrible, we eat chinese food all the time and this was the worst experience ever. Wouldn't go back if the food was free.
